Johnny's P.O.V.
I saw the truck. I ran over and looked all over it. An ambulance must have found Darry or something because he wasn't there. I continued on my way back to town. I couldn't believe I had found Ponyboy. He looked so scared. I don't think I've ever seen him that scared in his whole life. I noticed I was back in town. I ran to the east side quickly before I was spotted. I have to tell the gang so we can get him back.
I barged into the Curtis house, but no one was there. They must be at the hospital. I turned and ran as fast as I could to the hospital. I ran in and saw a nurse. "Excuse me. Do you know where Darrel Curtis is?" I asked. "Yes I do. It's room 127 just down the hall." She said.
I thanked her and quickly walked to the room. I saw the gang all circled around Darry's bed. I walked in and shut the door quietly behind me. "Johnny? What happened to you?" Darry asked. "I don't know for sure." I said. I remembered what I was going to do and burst into a smile. "What's so funny?" Steve asked. "I know where Ponyboy is!" I blurted.
The gangs eyes widened and they stared at me expectantly. "How?" Soda asked. "The guys who kidnapped him must have found the crash. I woke up in their hideout and they let me see Pony. They said to tell you guys he'd turned Soc and didn't want to see any of us anymore." I said.
"They said he what!?" Dally shouted. "Keep your voice down Dal. He isn't a Soc. I promise that. I got to see him." I said quietly. "And?" Darry asked. "He's not doing to good. We have to hurry and get him." I said. Two-Bit jumped up and walked over to me.
"Let's go get him then." He said. "Wait. There's like maybe four or five of them. We don't stand a chance with two of us." I said. Two nodded and looked around. "I'll go." Steve said. I was a bit surprised because Steve didn't give a hoot about Ponyboy. "Me too." Dally said. "I would go but-" Soda started. "Go on. Ponyboy will need you." Darry said.
Soda nodded and walked towards us. We said our good-byes and we walked out the door and towards Dally's T-bird.
I hope they haven't done anything to him or else.
