Johnny's P.O.V.
Pony was unconscious. The last thing he had said was that he loved me. I picked him up and carried him back to his house. I walked in the door and surprisingly no one was home. I put him in his room and sat down next to him. I pulled some of his hair out of his face and stroked his cheek. Man I loved him. He looked pretty enough to be an actor. And he wasn't so hung up on himself like Sodapop. I heard him moan and I almost pounced. "Johnny?" He whispered weakly. "I'm right here Pony." I said. He smiled and let out a huff. "I don't feel to good Johnny." He muttered. I ran to the bathroom and got a wet washcloth. I ran back in his room to find him asleep. I smiled and sat down on the bed. I placed the washcloth on his forehead and waited. I walked over to his desk. Man was it cluttered. It had last weeks' homework on it, finished. I never did finish it. I looked at his handwriting. It looked nice and neat. My handwriting was always a little sloppy, especially when I was in a hurry. I heard a squeak behind me, so I turned around. 8 came face to face with Ponyboy. "Gosh Pony. Don't do that man." I said. Pony blushed a dark red. "Sorry Johnny. I didn't mean to be so quiet." He muttered while looking down. I grinned at him. "Hey. It's no problem." I said. He smiled and looked back up at me. I guess I wasn't really paying attention because within the time span of 5 seconds Ponyboy's face was pressed against mine. We stayed like that for awhile until I heard footsteps walking up to his room. I pushed Pony towards the bed and he laid down. I looked at his desk while he played possum. The door opened and Soda peeked in. "Hey Johnnycake. What's wrong with Pony?" He asked. "Dad hit me with a shovel and Pony tried to help." I said quietly. Soda's face went white as a sheet. "He's not hurt that bad. Just gonna have a few bruises." I said quickly. Soda nodded and shot a glance at Pony before walking back out the door. I looked at Ponyboy who had opened his eyes. "About 'us'" I said. "Don't tell." Ponyboy said. "What?" I was confused. "Don't tell no one." He said. I nodded. "Okay." I muttered before walking out of his bedroom.
