I opened my eyes and found that this was not my room. I felt an arm wrapping my waist. I turn around to my surprise, that is Karan. He holds me tight that I might escape. After the trauma, I'm scared of touches. My mom hugs feel safe. She is my mom, so yeah, it explains why I feel safe.
But  Karan hugs and kisses feel safe. It felt like I'm not scared anymore.

I snuggled near his chest and fell asleep. I know what I'm doing doesn't explain anything. All I know is I love him. If you guys ask, then why did I break up?? I'm scared he might end up like dad. Now I want to give it a try and I don't want to regret it.

I'm giving this relationship a second chance.

I felt a soft touch on my cheeks. I opened my eyes. Karan kissed me on my cheeks!!!!!
I loved that kiss.

"Secret, I need you to read this letter." Karan gave me a letter.

It's my dad's handwriting.  I read the words clearly.  He selected Karan for my life. To my surprise I too accept his decision. Reading further, I choke hard and try to hide my tears. I can't hold anymore. I cried hard where Karan hugged and tried to comfort me.

"Thank you, Karan, for everything. " I hugged him back.

We had our brunch together.

"Karan, I need to ask you something. What happened to the EAGLE  group?"

" They are no more in the world except the bastard who tried to rape you." He holded his cutlery tight.

"It's fine, Karan. I know, but let's drop ths revenge. I don't want you to go back to the dark world."

"How do you know about the dark world??"

"Bro!! You forget me. I'm sad . I told her about your past and how it's related to her father. "

" What the heck are you doing here, Rafael?"

" Cool man, you forgot about your best friend.  But I didn't.  I told her everything while you were busy with your company.  I have good news for you. The bastard who tried to take your happiness away. Do you remember him?" Rafael asked

"Yeah, how can I forget him. Have you found him??" Karan asked. I am also waiting for his reply.

"He is shot dead by the cops. He tried to assault girls using guns. The cops saved the girls by shooting him. Now you can lead your life like your mom's dream. I'm happy for you, Kar." Refael hugged Karan.

" Thank you, Rafael, and don't you dare call me using that name. It's disgusting." Karan said. I laughed louder because his cheeks turned red like plum fuming in anger. It felt funny for me.

The anger in his eyes fades away after seeing my smile.

" Karan , I love you," I said him finally a relief.

He is stunned at my sudden proposal.
He didn't deny or accept my proposal. He entered his office room in the penthouse and locked the door.

He didn't like me?? Am I wrong about his feelings??

How am I supposed to react.  I need help. Rafael is near the swimming pool.

I went near Rafael.
" Hey." I waved him.

"Hey." He said.

"Um..m.. I need to ask you something. "

"Yeah, go-on."

" I said to him that I love him, but he didn't react. I want to know if he really loves me or if I'm just a responsibility for him."

" You are the love of his life. Just give him time. He will respond to you soon. Wait and have patience."

"Thank you."

" It's my pleasure because he is my friend, and I love to clear the misunderstandings between you."

I'm in the Karan bedroom waiting for him. I need to sleep by cuddling my love.
