"YOU WERE PLAYING WHAT WITH WHO?"

Bitna stood a spot dumbfounded and already knew she messed up. She bit her lower lips thinking of a lie to tell.

Anything could pass now but unfortunately, she couldn't think of any believable lie. Even the useless lies she told daily seemed to have flushed out of her head.

"Answer Me" Her Dad's deep voice growled snapping her out of her thoughts.

"Hmm, Dad, actually Dad it's not what you think. Yoongi was just teaching me some moves"

She grasped the few words she could make up and those words weren't the best options.

"You played basketball?" Mr. Kim asked in a low tone scaring the shit out of her.

It's better to meet her dad's raging voice than to meet his ice-cold voice.

Bitna stood up in an attempt to get away from her dad. She opened her mouth to talk but nothing. came out.

"Did you play basketball?" He asked again with the same tone.

"Yes" She admitted glancing up to see her dad's reaction but a blank look was all she got. "Dad I know you are against me playing basketball but I love to play and I want to continue playing basketball"

Mr. Park abruptly stood up startling her. Her eyes trailed him as he walked over to the far end of the room stopping at her locker.

Her mouth fell agape seeing him open the locker and there were her training kits.

"Dad" She rushed over blocking him from the equipment but she was soon shoved away.

He bent down grabbed the training kits and made for the door but he stopped turning to his daughter.

"I will turn a blind eye to this and take it as a mistake, understood?" He sounded in a stern voice.

Bit-na stood still dazed not knowing what to do, she couldn't go against her dad but that's her dream we are talking about.

All her life she has always obeyed her dad and gone against anything that would make him sad, he was all she had, and have seen the struggles he went through to raise her making him sad was the last thing on her list. Bit-na isn't a born genius like Namjoon but she wasn't a dullard. She studied hard to ace her papers, even though she wasn't interested in the course but as long as her dad was happy, she gladly did it.

But now she has found was she loves and has always loved, and she isn't backing down on it. She never knew the story of why her dad is against her playing sports, especially basketball but this is her future.

"Dad No!" She shook her head in disagreement standing her ground. "It's not a mistake Dad! I truly love playing basketball"

"Don't argue with me and do as I say" Mr. Park ordered sternly and went down the staircase.

"You can't do this, limiting my career choice and expecting me to follow your dreams for me."  Bitna's rebellious voice said annoyingly blocking her dad.

He looked down at her, shrugging off her words.

"I am your father and I know what's right for you. When I say you don't get to play basketball then listen and quit."  His voice wasn't getting any softer, it was clear he was trying to control himself.

Bitna's internal being was ravaged with anger at the way things were occurring. She knew this was bound to happen if her dad found out about the basketball training but her senses weren't with her anymore to understand from his perspective which she knew nothing about.

"Give me a chance, I will prove that I am set out to be a skilled basketball player. Yoongi said I have improved very well and can gain admission to start training in an academy. I even have their requirements list and if I do well I will progress to the national team and play as a professional in games and I will stand a chance at playing in the Olympics..." She continued to ramble trying to reason out with him but it all seemed like a lost game.

"I SAID NO AND THAT'S FINAL"  Mr. Park snapped with an angry look. "You are not playing basketball, not now and never; Not under my watch will I let you go and ruin your life all in the name of playing basketball "

"IT IS MY DREAM NOT YOURS, WHY DO YOU CARE?" She couldn't help when her voice escalated.

"BECAUSE I AM YOUR FATHER" Mr. Park's voice pitched higher.

It was slowly starting to become a yelling match between father and daughter. They didn't notice the much attention they were drawing to themselves.

The boys hearing the commotion came to witness the scene.

"I get it you are my Dad but that doesn't give you the right to control my life. I am not quitting playing"

"You will and this should make you come to your senses" In one split second her training kits were on the hallway floor.

Tears filled her eyes seeing her jersey set with her name imprinted on it. The same jersey she used up her savings to get and had her name printed on it was on the floor torn apart.

She crouched down low letting her hands linger on the torn clothing piece recalling her happy face when she first saw her name printed on it but now it's gone.

"Why?" She asked with a clenched fist throwing daggers at her Dad. "Why did you do it? I never asked the whole world, I just wanted to play... Is it so hard to ask, WHY?" Her voice was dangerously cold.

"Go to your room" Mr. Park ordered turning around to leave but;

"This must be why Mom left you" She dropped looking up to see the hurt on her father's face.

She didn't want to take it this far, but she didn't want to be the only hurt one here, and bringing up her mom hurts her but she was satisfied if it didn't hurt only her.

Mr. Park stopped taken aback, his eyes went dark with an unknown feeling.

Bit-na saw this and wanted to stop but something ticked off inside her.

"Mom must have left you because of how controlling, selfish, and self-centred you are. You only think about yourself and no one else"

"Shut up" Mr. Park's voice growled

"No Dad! You should get it, Mom left you because you are no good and a control freak who thinks the whole world revolves only around you; You don't give a damn what I think and I believe you did so with Mom,"

A loud sound resonated in the hallway, silence took place. Everyone's eyes were up in shock at the way things were taking place.

Bit-na's left hand stuck to her right cheek as tears flowed freely. Her eyes were red filled with shock and anger.

'Never have her father raised his hand on her

She bit down her lips, looking up with a blank expression.

"I Hate You"

With that, she ran out bumping into someone along the way.

The boys were ultra-shocked and their hearts clenched at her crying.
