Jungkook's POV
It has been two hours since Bit-na ran out of the house. It was nearing midnight and everyone had a panic look, worrying about her whereabouts.
The house was in uproar seeing her gone for so long.
Mom placed calls to people who could help out in the search. Hyungs had a worried face as they paced around the room wondering where she might have gone.
And Dad, I mean Mr. Park... How badly I want to address him by that. He had a look of defeat sitting on the parlour couch fighting with his spirit.
No soothsayer was needed to tell he was mentally blaming himself.
What will become of him If anything happens to his daughter? He won't be able to forgive himself, right?
Everyone was busy thinking of a solution, and I sat in a corner not knowing what to do.
I was ready to rush out the door and go search for her but where should I start?
Gulping down my saliva I slowly walked to him taking in his pitiful state. My hands linger on his shoulder sitting down.
"Dad" I forced those words out of my mouth.
I would have seen his surprised face if not for the worried look he was wearing.
"Bit-na," I started with a low tone "She will come back, am sure she is cooling off somewhere"
"It's all my fault" He muttered with teary eyes.
I bit my lips not knowing what to say, everything seemed like it came to a spot. I didn't what to say or how to comfort him.
Should I say it's not his fault or what?
Partly speaking, he was the cause but I can't conclude yet. I didn't know the other side of the story.
"God please let her be safe"
AUTHOR'S POV
The night sky got thicker as time flew by, the rumbling thunderstorm could be heard as heavy rain was predicted to fall.
She ran as her feet could carry, her eyes filled with tears, she was a crying mess. She ran wide not minding the eyes of passers.
They were the list of her concerns
She made a stop at a park, her legs gave up as she made an uncompromising fall to the ground.
"WHY" She yelled out loud probably straining her vocal range.
At that moment the rain decided to let down and fall leaving no room for the poor girl.
She stood in the rain, crying. Each tear was telling a story but she was too engrossed in her sorrow to hear a single story at all. the rain diluted the salt running down her face until all the stories were washed away, leaving only sorrow to comfort her.
Time passed by, the thundering shower slowly coming to a halt. Bitna having tired herself out laid down on the ground not minding the wet grass. She let herself soak down in tears.
"What are you doing here?" An unknown voice reached out to her.
Bit-na flinched shocked by the voice.
"Who are you?" She asked with a furrowed brow.
"You don't remember me?" The woman asked with certainty.
"Sorry, I don't know you" She hurriedly stood up turning away.
"I am not the person you should be afraid of"
Bitna turned a deaf ear as she hurried up to escape from the weirdo.
"Bit-na"
She stopped in her tracks, confusion, and fear scripted on her face.
'Did she just call my name? '
Her thoughts ran wide as she stared down at the weirdo lady.
"Do I know you? How do you know my name? Have we met before? Who are you?" Bitna's mouth went on badging her with questions.
She squinted her eyes taking a closer look at the lady, the drizzling rain wasn't making it easy and the street light was not covering much distance.
Why does she look familiar?
"The lady from the mall, remember?" The lady asked in a quirky voice.
"Mall? Lady from the mall?" She muttered racking her brain, she let out a gasp realization hitting her. "You? What do you want from me?"
The lady laughed in a sick manner, a sinister smile on her face creeping the poor girl out. Bitna's feet made steady steps backwards not comfortable with the presence of the woman likely to be stalking her.
"Nothing, I want nothing from you. You are not the one indebted to me, your father is"
"You are psycho get away from me" Bit-na's voice trembled showing fear.
"I am a friend of your Dad, and I know a lot more than you think"
"Friend?" She huffed with sarcasm "My Dad doesn't have weirdos as friends. Get away from me" She yelled out hastening her pace.
"I know about your mother"
Bit-na felt like a bomb was dropped on her. She came to a halt and stared into nothing.
The lady laughed seeing her vulnerable self, she made a slow step to her stopping in front of her.
"You look so much like her, your mom," The lady said.
Bit-na balled her fist with clenched teeth. "I am nothing like her" She spat dangerously glaring at the lady.
"If you want to know about your mom, call me" She brought out a card from her purse.
Bit-na didn't give out any reaction, her face was unreadable.
"Cheer up and call me, ok? I bet you will be shocked to know what lie you've been living in" The lady smiled slipping the card into Bitna's hand. "See you" She waved walking in the opposite direction.
Bit-na stood with a blank face, her palm tightly folded rumpling the card.
"I DON'T CARE ABOUT HER" She spat trying to convince herself that she doesn't care.
Her feet found their momentum again, she slowly made her way out of the park. She was lost in her thoughts, her senses weren't with her as she wandered around the streets of Seoul.
All she could hear were the car horns and the drizzling rain.
"Bit-na" A hand grip on her lower arm disrupted her thought.
She looked back with a dejected look. She scanned the face seeing its familiarity.
"Aunty" She called out but her lack of energy made it sound like a mumble.
"What are you doing here?" Sonia asked her voice placed with worry and concern.
Bit-na slowly observed her environment, realization hitting her how far from home she was.
"Where am I?"
