•Third person point of view (before the incident)
Waze sat down on the seat in the dimly lit restaurant, his grin widening as he watched his sister approach. The place was quiet, perfect for their secret meeting. He leaned back, waiting for her to sit across from him.
"So, what's this sis? miss mo ba ako?" Waze said, still grinning at the woman who now sat rigidly opposite him.
The woman, with an emotionless stare, met his gaze. "Kinsley is pregnant."
Waze laughed, a harsh sound that cut through the silence. He put down his cap, revealing a scar on his cheek.
"Seryuso? That's insane! So ano? What do you want me to do? Tell me, I'll do it."
The woman sighed and looked outside the window, her voice barely above a whisper. "Please...get rid of it. But don't make Kinsley's life in danger, do you understand?"
Waze laughed again, nodding. "Copy. Ginagawa mo ba ito dahil sakanya? HAHAHA! Well, that's good. Sage will suffer because of this. And Simone's little game will start soon. I can't wait to meet Sage again," he touched his scar, a reminder of past encounters.
Curiosity piqued, the woman asked, "What game? Anong plano niyo?"
"Oh, no, sis. Samin samin na lang yun. Just focus on your mission. That's all you do, right? Labas ka na dito. It won't be long until it's over. You can leave the country and have your freedom."
The woman scoffed sarcastically, standing up abruptly. "Fuck you...Kuya. Fuck your ass."
Waze laughed, feigning hurt. "You're badmouthing me, that hurts."
The woman rolled her eyes. "Once I'm done with all the shit you made, you'll lose your sister." Then she left, leaving Waze speechless and hurt by her words.
He loved his sister more than anyone. He had done everything to give her a better life with their mom, though he worked in illegal ways. He was responsible for where she was now, but he had no choice but to work or else their family would die at Simone's hands.
As he sat there, lost in thought, he didn't notice the man approaching until he was right beside him. "Waze, we need to talk," the man said, his voice low and urgent.
Startled, Waze looked up, recognizing one of Simone's men. "What is it?"
"Simone wants to see you. Now."
Waze nodded, his mind racing. He knew what this meant-more danger, more risks. But he had to protect his family, no matter the cost. He stood up, following the man out of the restaurant, his thoughts consumed by the impending confrontation with Simone and the secrets that threatened to unravel his world.
While on the middle of driving his Car. Waze gripped the steering wheel tightly, his knuckles turning white as he navigated through the congested streets of Manila.
The sky was a dull gray, mirroring the somber mood that had settled over him since receiving Simone's call. He knew this wasn't just another routine meeting; Simone never called unless it was urgent, and urgency in their world often meant danger.
As he drove, Waze dialed a number on his phone, his eyes scanning the road while his mind plotted his next moves.
"Find Kinsley Lefevre's car in the parking lot at Enderun," he ordered into the receiver, his voice cold and calculated. "Hack the system of the car. Make the brakes don't work when she starts it. Make sure she has a 'nice' accident."
