A Kiss

Shay's P.O.V

I am so nervous, I have no clue why. Did I do to much? I shook my head to dismiss the thought. I check the time on my phone, 5 minutes till 7. Just in case i don't get home before my mom I send her a message that im out. After I sent her the message, I decided to go outside and wait and maybe some fresh air will cool my nerves. I grab my jacket and put my phone in my perse. When I open the door I'm hit will the cool autumn air. I rap my jacket tighter around me. I let out shaky breath and pull out my phone to check the time, 7 pm. I put my phone back, and wait for a bit longer, where is he? I'm freezing! That's when I hear a car driving down the road. Finally!

My relieved expression turned to shock, is that a limo? It was a black limo, I was in shock, he did this? The limo stopped in front of my house and Kevin jumped out in a tuxedo. He had a wide grin on his face and it seemed to get wider when he got closer to me. "You are beautiful" he say and I blush which makes his grin grow wider possible. "Not so bad yourself" I say with a smile. He takes my hand and leads me to the limo. He opens the side door and says, "Ladies first" he winks at me. I get in and he jogs to the other side and gets in. "You didn't have to do all this" I said still a little in shock. "I know" he said with a big grin. "Were are we going?" I asked after we left my house. "You'll see" he said with a wink.

After we have been on the road for a 10 minutes, out of the corner of my eye I see Kevin scoot closer to me, soon his hand was almost touching mine. I tense, my breath caught in my throat. I feel his fingertips brush my hand. He places his hand on mine, his hand is really warm, it feels really good on my frozen hand.

What felt like was only seconds was minutes, the next thing I knew we pull up to a fancy restaurant and his hand is gone. I hear my side door open and feel a gust of cold air which makes me shiver. I rap my jacket tighter around my body, while Kevin holds out his hand, I take it and he pulls me out and shuts the car door. He gives me his elbow and I take it with a nervous grin.

I watch in awe how fancy and warming it is when we walk in and warm, not affected by the cold wind. Still in awe Kevin leads us to our table and pulls out my chair. I sit down, take off my jacket and put it behind me. Once I get settled I grin at him which he returns with a wink. He takes a seat and a waiter gives us menu's, "So what would you to like to have this evening" she said in a cheerful voice. "What would you like beautiful?" he said it with a grin. There was so many chooses. "I'll have the Caesar salad." "I'll have the same." "And what would you like to drink?" "I'll have have a Dr.Pepper and what would you like beautiful?" "I'll have a lemonade please." I say with a grin. "Alright, you guys will have your food in a few mintues, enjoy your evening." "Thank you" Kevin say with a grin while looking at me.

Once the waiter left we passed the time just talking and enjoying each others company. "Did I tell you that your beautiful?" "Yes" I say blushing. "So I was thinking since were almost done with our project and we still have 2 weeks left, you just want to finish it this week so we don't have to worry about it and its done with?" "Sure, sounds like a great idea, when do you want me to come over for our project?" "Every other day, so I'll see you Monday, it should take us about three days to finish." He nodded and that's when our meals came. "Here you are, enjoy" the waiter said with a smile, then she was gone before I could say thank you. We ate in a comfortable silence.

The salad was great. I had a great time, now we are walking outside to the car. "I had a great time, this was so much fun." I said with a smile."Yeah it was" he says back with a grin. We get in the car and drove home. After 5 minutes I feel something brush my hand and I tense when I realize its Kevin hand and I relax a little. This time I was ready, I split my fingers and feel his interlace with mine. I can feel a smile breaking through. It felt to short, I didn't want to let go. But it ended and Kevin was helping me out of the car. I saw that my mom wasn't home yet, good, cause I don't want her to question me about where I have been. We were looking at each other not knowing what to say or do.

Then suddenly Kevin walks up to me, his lips are just inches away from mine. He closes his eyes and leans forward. While im thinking to myself, what do i do? Instead of meeting his lips with mine i turn my head, an this lips connect with my cheek. Im not ready for that yet. We only just met but I already like him. Hopefully he doesn't think that I don't like him. When he pulls away I can see pain and confusion in his eyes. Now I feel bad, but im not ready and he needs to respect that. He rubs the back of his neck, "See you Monday, good night" he say in a fake cheerful voice. "Sorry Kevin, im not ready, we just met, please understand." I say pleading a little. He nods and say, "I understand." "Goodnight Shay" he says with a fake smile. "Goodnight" I say with a small smile. I go inside, go upstairs, get changed, and fall on my bed and was out in seconds.

I wonder what will happen between those two, will Shay follow her heart? Or will her mind take over......well I guess we will find out in the next chapter or following chapters come.(:
