It started in my head, as my paranoia sets in. Don't tell me the pain I feel isn't real when you don't know the world in which I live. Have the strength to be patient, as I often don't feel the love that is given. Have the courage to stand beside me as I face this toxic world around me. Have the strength to lift me up when I'm feeling down, for I often wear a frown. Don't get discouraged if I don't laugh as you try to make me smile cause it takes more than a simple joke for me to crack a smile. Just know the support you show goes a long way to heal this soul.
