⁀➷ How would you describe your story in five words? Could you please provide a brief synopsis of your book's topic? How does your book vary from others in the same genre(s)?
▪ • ● ○ ▪ Five words: Empowering, friendship, unique, inspiring, dark
Synopsis: Instead of falling in love with her guy best friend, Bella falls in love with his best friend. She just needs to get rid of someone from her dark past.
How it varies: The popular trope of best friends to lovers is overused. I added a twist to this one. That she falls in love with her guy best friend's best friend.
⁀➷ Can you tell me an intriguing fact about your book?
▪ • ● ○ ▪ I wrote this book three times. The first one, Bella was called Izzy and she did fall in love with Zach. They got married at 18, got pregnant and happily ever after. The second was too fast-paced. Bella and Kayden confessed their feelings in chapter 3, the antagonist was introduced in chapter 6, the climax was chapter 9 and chapter 10, it was the end. Third time's the charm because the latest one is just right.
⁀➷ How long have you been working on this book? What inspired you?
▪ • ● ○ ▪ The original one was written in 2018, the second in 2020 and the last in 2023. In short, it took about 5 years. I had read another book about abusive relationships and I want my books to teach lessons like "you deserve better", so I figured a book about abusive relationships would be a great way to go.
⁀➷ How did you begin your writing adventure overall?
▪ • ● ○ ▪ I was born with a brain injury. Long story short, I had a speech condition. People had a hard time understanding me. When I wrote something out, it was easier to communicate.
