Jae woke up from her phone ringing off the hook, She had a bad headache and she was sick as hell. Jae never got sick but it was flu season she most lightly got it from one her co workers. She looked at the phone and answered
"Hey Ka'moni" She spoke, she hadn't heard from him since he came back to the club to talk, She assumed that him and his was was on good terms so she didn't push her presence on him.
"Hey mama can I pull up on you ? I really need to see you shorty" Ka'moni replied she could tell he was upset she could hear it in his voice.
"I'm sick baby, We can still talk but ion wanna get you sick" Jae told him
"I don't care I just need to see you drop your location I'll be there in thirty minutes" He pushed and she hung up and sent her address
Thirty minutes later Ka'moni arrived and knocked at her door she jumped out of bed and threw her robe on before answering the door. Ka'moni looked like he had been crying and it made her upset, She knew that he had marital issues but to see him crying made him crying made her upset
"Jae" His voice was low and he couldn't even look her in eyes he was so ashamed and embarrassed
"Come here" Jae said to him as she pulled him inside, he wrapped his arms around her waist and buried his face into her neck inhaling her sweet scent and cried like a baby, Venting to her about everything.
Jae said nothing but she listened to him and never let him go as he cried. She wanted him to feel secure and comfortable enough to cry and let everything out, she wanted to take all his problems away but she couldn't it hurt so bad to see such a sweet person be hurt like this.
"I'm sorry for crying like a bitch ma but I really needed to talk to somebody" Ka'moni finally said after an hour of silence, both were too scared to say something
"You don't have to apologize Moni every one cries and it's normal just because you're a man doesn't mean your feelings don't matter because they do. I don't think less of you I actually respect you even more for coming to me and being able to be vulnerable around me. I would never make you feel bad for crying" Jae replied, she knew exactly how it felt to be mistreated and told not to cry she never wanted anyone to feel what she did. She was s a a great listener oand a great friend, Ka'moni felt so safe with her and it was new feeling.
