I struggle to make sense of the chain of events that have brought me to this moment, where I am now kneeling between two men who were persistently trying to boss me around 5 minutes ago.The constraints are cutting into my wrists which are tied behind my back. Throughout this ordeal, I have kept my eyes shut in an effort to avoid seeing either of the two men beside me, as I simply cannot believe that this is happening.
I've lost count of the number of times I've prayed that the ground would open up and swallow me whole. I couldn't seem to catch my breath no matter how hard I tried.
"You're going to be fine Eve"
he whispers into my right ear sending a chill down my spine.
I couldn't fathom that it was him. After all this time, here he was kneeling next to me whispering the same words
"Stay still I'll explain everything later-"
"Shut the fuck up you bastard it's your fault we're here in the first place"
a heavy voice cuts him off from my left.
"Is it now? I wonder what Giovanni has to say about his son hanging around with Levi"
he fires back, taunt reeking from his every word.
"Like you weren't here to kiss his ass anyw-"
The sound of heavy footsteps fills the room, making the tension even more intense. It's the first time since we got here that I actually open my eyes and glance at the two men kneeling, their wrists tied behind their backs just as mine.
"Well well what do we have here?"
The man who I assume is Levi began
"I believe the deities are pleased with me today as I have the opportunity to take out not just one, but two key members of the Red Wing".
He leisurely begins to stroll around us, casually gripping a gun in his hands. I loose sight of him as he stops still behind us. His shadow looming over mine.
I suddenly feel the cold barrel of the gun pressing into the back of my head
"But how could I make you feel excluded my dear?"
He seethed through his teeth letting out an ugly laugh.
The two men had remained completely silent until now shouted in unison
