A birthday special...

I woke up out of my sleep to nelson shaking me. "ma we gotta go set adri's stuff up" he whispered. i groaned and looked at the clock. "go get ready and come help us in the living room" he said as he walked out. i went into the bathroom and brushed my teeth and everything.

i just left my bonnet on cause girl i didn't feel like doing it. it was like 7am.

after i finished getting ready i walked into the living room area and saw everyone blowing up balloons and cam hanging up the banner since he was the tallest. "here start blowing up the letters" jayce said, handing me the deflated balloons that said "happy birthday".

"damn a bitch can't even eat nun yet" i said as i began to blow them all up. "nope" callie said as she handed cam the tape. i stuck my tongue out to her playfully.

i heard a car pull up outside and when i looked up noah and ky were coming into the house. they had bags and wrapping paper and stuff. niles followed behind with a big bouquet of pink roses. damn this girl is only turning 13 and she got flowers from her lil man ??

after cam hung up the banner he went in the kitchen to get adris gift. i blew up the last letter and then went to peak in adris room. i saw her laying on her side on her phone and grinned as i cracked the door open to walk in but not enough for her to see anything outside the room.

"heyy birthday girllll" i said, sitting next to her on the bed. i could tell she just woke up. "hii" she said in her sleepy voice, causing me to smile. "how'd u sleep? are u excited to be 13?" i asked. "girl one question at a timeee" she said, sitting up and wrapping her arms around her knees. "my bad my baddd" i said. "why didn't u come out the room?" i asked. "cause i just woke up and i know yall got something planned" she said. "how?" i asked. "uh because niles isn't in his bed." she replied. her tone when she said that to me was like i was stupid. i coulda slapped her but it's her bday so ima chill.

i glanced over to the other bed since there was two twin beds in the room. i looked at the messed up blankets and pillows and the empty spot in the bed. i of course knew where niles was but i spoke. "oh.. where's he at?" i asked. "i don't know girl" she said, getting out of her bed and walking to the bathroom, to which i followed her and leaned on the door frame. "miss girl u better go find ur man" i said. "don't call him my man he's so annoying and ugly." she replied, putting tooth paste on her tooth brush. "girl be so fucking fr" i answered, causing her to laugh. she said something but i couldn't understand it because she had her tooth brush in her mouth. "hm?" i hummed. she spit and then spoke before putting her tooth brush back in her mouth. "i said im joking. he's so fine" she whispered the last part under her breath. "okay girl ur freshly 13 let's not obsess over boys now. meet me outside when ur done" i said as i walked out.

i went back into the living room and saw everything was set up and done and cam had her gift on the counter. "is she awake?" cam asked, leaning on the counter. "yea she's getting ready" i said. all of a sudden cams girlfriend walked thru the door. she wasn't here yesterday because she was with family but she arrived today. "hey babe" she said, kissing cam and then she turned to me and gave me a hug. "hi ari" she said, smiling. "heyy" i replied. "i got adri's stuff" she said, smiling as she set a pandora bag on the counter. "girl what did u get herrr" i asked. "a little something.. ya know" she said smirking.

i know you're probably like wtf but i got hella close with cam's girlfriend because she used to come to our practices and watch us for some reason. i loved her sm she was such a sweetheart.

i laughed and shook my head. "im sure she'll love it" i replied, smiling. nelson came up behind me and peaked his head around me to see what cams girlfriend brought adri but he only saw the bag. he turned to me but he was eating something. "is adri up?" he asked. "yea she's getting ready" i replied. he popped a piece of fruit into his mouth and said "niles is gonna ask her to be his girlfriend today" my eyes widened in shock. "they're too young" i said. "oh boohoo they're 13 and they get too nervous around each other to do anything. yk adri doesn't act grown and neither does niles they'll be fine" he said, shrugging. i sighed and shrugged. "alright i guesssss" i said.
