You watch Isaiah depart the enchanting room with a lighter feeling. All of the tension that was clawing at you lifted. You were still dead tired, but looking down at the potted poppy in your hands brought a smile to your face. You felt like you could breathe again after all that mess you've gone through the past couple days. Maybe, just maybe you could start to sort some things out.

It was nice to see that the fragile friendship between you and Isaiah was still maintained through all of that. He is pretty hard to read, but this has got to be a good sign, right?

Your tutoring session with Isaiah concludes after another half-hour since Isaiah had to start up his patrols again. So, that left you to your own devices.

You find yourself wandering about the town with no particular destination in mind. You're in some sort of weird limbo where you're too tired to take on any more jobs, but not tired enough to go home and rest. Besides, it was nice out.

However, you find yourself coming back to the plaza, the place where it all began. Unsurprisingly, everything was back to normal. The plaza looked as if nothing had ever happened. You glance around at the surrounding buildings. They were mostly fixed up too. You had to give it to Lillian and her people. They cleaned up fast.

And, to your knowledge, no one died from the incident. Even your parents made it out relatively unscathed.

But, seriously, what happened?

Just who would put fire charges in those dispensers?

Was this truly an accident?

Before your thoughts can delve any further into that rabbit hole, a group of people walk across the way, going further into town. Upon further inspection, it was Lillian with a couple of guards. Her escorts weren't anyone you knew and even if they were, you opted to stay inconspicuous.

You squint your eyes in apprehension. Here you were quickly reminded of that time before. Despite your very being tell you not to, you decided to follow.

After a few minutes of tailing them, they finally come to a stop at their destination: the bakery. You've helped out the couple a few times with their farms, and you got gifted their baked delights in return. They were very generous and also on good terms with your parents. In other words, you had a favorable impression of them. Now this made you wonder: just what business did Lillian have with them?

The gracious couple came out to greet Lillian and her goons. They had smiles on their faces, but you weren't fooled. You could tell the couple wasn't expecting this at all and were even unsettled by Lillian's presence.

You could hear them talking but you couldn't make out what they're saying, so you decided get closer.

The only cover available was the space between buildings along the streets. Just to be safe, you go through the closest alleyway and cross it to the other side. Then, you used the next street over to get closer without being seen. You turn right into another alleyway that conveniently had some haybales and other blocks strewn about. Perfect. Plenty of hiding places.

However, it turns out you weren't the only one who thought the same.

"What the-"

As you're sneaking through, you're suddenly pulled to the ground. Without any warning, your arms are pinned behind your back.

"How did you know?" You a hear voice barely above a whisper.

"Know what?!" You whisper-shout.
