argus: the angle of death

I stand and whach as the guards return from their patrols. They are followed by the valkories who were forged to ferry the lost souls to heaven. Those who died due to natural causes or due to murder are judged by their choices. I can see a few who are corrupted already. Many of them hold anger twords their murders as some are at piece and just follow. "Looks like the valkories are doing your job again. Better make sure Noone is missed this time." The guard stop infront of me as some of them are laughing. "I still can't believe your still here. Father should have casted you to hell when your usefulness ran out." I can't believe how incompetent many of these 'angles' are. I can't help but scoff. "What? You think your immune?" The leader smiles. "Your weaker than ever and the lowest ranks can beat you. Your nothing." He walks up to my chair as I remain seated. The fact they believe I'm weak makes me laugh. "I think he needs to be taught another lesson." Some of them laugh. "I believe so." He puffs his chest as he reaches for my face. I grab his wrist and grip it hard. "You shall not grab." He grits his teeth. "Now you will be punished." I stop his fist. "Let me go!" He starts to shake, trying to get me to let go. "You bastard." I feel something hit my head as I see steal fly past my eyes. "What?!" I look to my left as see one of the angles holding thier broken sword. "What? How?!" I slowly stand up as my back pops and I let the angle go due to the pain. Damn...I'm not fully recovered yet. "You'll pay for this, death!" I feel pressure on my stumic. I look and see the same angles arm out as he stares at me. "Enough!" The angles back away. I try to straighten up as my back pops again. "Argus." I slowly turn around to see Freya. Her stoic look reminds me of when she dragged me back here on his orders. She looks at the group of angles trying to attack me. "You. Attacking an higher angle is punishable by exile." She floughts down and lands infront of me. "Explain yourselves." The angles are frozen. "Nothing?" She paces around. "Fine. 50 years on earth should straighten you out." The ring leader snaps back. "H-he was the one who started to attack us." Freya chuckles. "Gryla." Another valkory lands. "Raleave then of their wings." Gryla smiles. "Yes, my lady." Gryla quickly grabs them and jumps off of the ledge. I straighten and grit through the pain as everything pops back into place. Finally. Guess sitting on the damned chair really has weakened me. Freya let's out a breath. "Argus. Why are you here?" I stretch a little bit as my wings finally have room to breath. No wonder I couldn't stand. Theos actually cursed my chair. "You know." I face Freya. "He cursed the seat? I didn't believe he'd follow through on it." My weapons are also missing. "The fact your fully recovered is a mericle, though. That curse should have kept you from healing." I've knowtised. "It seems theos really does mean to punish you. That fight was hard fought. I've never seen anyone land hits on theos the way you did. Not even lucifer is willing to fight him head on." I'm more worried about her. "Is she safe?" I look at the chair. It's radiating dark magic. Theos didn't curse it alone. It doesn't have lucifers stink on it either. "I don't know. She managed to get away from theos's guards and disopeared." I know where she is then. Unfortunately...it will not be easy to reach her. "What is it? I know that look when I see it." I place my hand on the chair as I can feel the magic trying to force me back into the seat. It's crawling into my soul, tempting me to come back false illusions and promises. Lies. All of it. I pull away as the magic attaches itself to my hand. It's sucking away my power. I shake my hand and lower it. "You better not be thinking it." I look up at the palace. "No, no." Freya pulls me back and grips my arm tightly. "You cannot attack the palace. Every single angle and valkory had orders to keep you from attacking anything and anyone." Attacking? Guess I know how I'm getting my weapons back. "Don't. Even I can't stop them now. Theos put a curse on all of the most powerful to make sure nothing like what you did happens again. Even your effected. Your nowhere near as strong as before." One mistake. "You think me to be weak?" I grab her hand and remove it easily as Freya struggles to hide the straining and pain. "But...how?" I smile. "He is not as clever he as he believes." He cursed the chair believing I would never never leave. The magic is weak. It's not pure either. "Impire magic never holds. Even your curse will fade." I let Freya go as I have no ill will twords her. "He told me you'd say that but I believe him on our curse. It's been nearly a Melania since the fight and the curse hasn't wavered. Not even for a minute." Doudtful. "Then your a bugger fool than ever." Her stoic look returns. "Don't call me a fool. I've tried. After what you did, the valkories no longer believe in this cast. We tried to break our curse but we failed countless times. Even dylia wasn't spared." He knows his rule is being questioned then. "What of lucifer?" Freyas confusion is plain. "I don't know. Hell was effected by the battle but lucifer hasn't left since then. Even his followers haven't left." Curius. I look at the palace. "It's assumed hell was damaged like heaven was but we don't really know. We're so limited now that if anyone leaves heaven, theos will know about it." His evil had come to light. It sickens me to be his son but I will break his chains and distroy his lies. Even hell won't be safe. All of them. They will be punished. "Now that I think about it. Raffaella hasn't been seen for some time either. She's isn't even in the palace." Raffaella? She's disopeared? "She couldn't have vanished. She's theos's concubine. She must be here." Freya chuckles at the insult. "Well she's not. The last time I saw her, she pushed theos away. I assume she went to earth to protect the humans but we just don't know." The flow of souls has slowed. Only the lost have been brought up. Not the newly perished. Maybe it's her doing. "Ever since the flow of souls has slowed, heaven and hell have been at a stalemate. We don't know what's going on anymore and with your imprisonment...we can't do anything." What? "Imprisonment?" I look at Freya as she freezes. "You knew?" Freya takes a step back. "You allowed this?" Dispite everything I've done for her. She allowed this to happen?! "This betrayal will not go unpunished." Freya shakes her head. "Just calm down, Argus. It's not what it seems." I ball my fists as Freya takes a few more steps back. "It will not be painless." Freya holds out her hands. It's not out of fear. "You must lision. We didn't know theos followed through on his threats." Freya was suprised I was able to stand up from the seat. "We brought you back but we didn't sit you here. We went back out to find the lost angles however...we crossed the vale and the curse gripped up. We fell but we're brought back and we're told about the rules. We can't do much but we're your replacement. When we finally found you, we realized you had been weakened so much that you couldn't move. We believed you were lost since the lost souls became our job." I losen up a little bit. "We're all blind. You may have avoided his wrath but he'll learn about your recovery and will find you. His power is unleashed and nobody is safe." So he's still using his full power. That gives me a few ideas. That also explains the magic. He's using both heaven and hells magic. He's decending into the place he really should be in. Lucifer never was a fighter. He just talked. He's strong but he's never used his strangth. Now his evil is exposed...I can do what everyone wants to do now. I face the palace as I try to search for my weapons. Theos can't hide my power no matter how hard he tries. I focus but I can't find them. I pour every ounce of focus I have to try and find them but I can't. That means there not here. Their far away. I can sense distant powers but their fremilier. To fremilier. I search for the powers as it leads me to many diffrent parts of earth. Why are they so fremilier. "What have you found?" I can sense a weapon. My sword. It's...weakened though. The edge has dulled. The power is diminished. It hasn't been touched for some time. There's something covering it though. That power. It's as if it's next to me. I search for the body. It's old and...human? No. It's overwhelming now. I find the human. A old man. He looks at me. "I know your there. God will be pleased." I snap back. He knew. He knew I'd escaped. He also knows I would try and get my weapons back. "What is it? What did you see?" That power. I look at Freya. That's what he did. "Your link." The curse. "What? What do you mean?" No wonder they've only gotten weaker. He gave the power to the humans. Even hells power. I can sense it. "The curse. The humans enherutited your power." Freya freezes. "No. That's not possible." I look over the ledge. "Focus. Your power. All power is in human hands." Freya looks over the ledge as she focuses. "I don't believe it. I can even sense angles down there. Even the demons. Their mixed. Those who left heaven and hell." I can sense them to. "Those who..." me and Freya look at eachother. "Those who followed your influence. Their mixed togeather." I can sense something else to. It's what I've felt before. I look back down. It's strong. Stronger than anything else. It's what gave me the power to fight theos. What lucifer is scared of. "I sense it to." I look back at the palace. I know of one weapon I know for a fact he has. A weapon the only I can wield. "I will go to the palace." I look at Freya. "Don't. All of heaven will try and stop you." His most loyal still have thier power. "Then they will fall." Freya grabs my arm again. "Everyone will stand agenst you. I can't stop the valkories anymore. I'm not the queen anymore." I chuckle. "You can. They follow only you." Freya let's me go. "You know what this means right?" I can't help but smile. I face the palace. "The end of heaven." I will take it away. I will find her. I will find my love. No matter the cost.
