I stand atop the church as the sun has set and the earth has become quite. The man wanted to wait before going home and now that I've spend time alone...I've gathered myself. My anger. My hatred. It's consumed me. I became inpatient. I cannot become the thing i wish to destroy. I take in a deep breath as the cold air feels soothing. The heat of haven became burning like the pits of hell. More like...pools of lava and fire. He did not fight me. "Argus?! You out here?!" There he is. I jump up and spread my wings to slow my decent. I land next to the man as he looks at me. "Sorry. I needed a minute to process what's happening." I don't blame him. "Knowing that...I could die...my family could...and I can't control it. I don't know how to move on from it." I gently place my hand on his shoulder. "Do not worry." He gives me a confused look. "I have reflected on your plight." I let my hand fall. "I do not know if haven will fall after my father's death. His lies are rooted deep and I fear I do not know the full extent of them." I turn and look up at the glitter filled sky. The sun's that fill this sky. "I have whatched mortals perish for so long. I whatched thier stories play out before my eyes and many hold something I grew to trust more than anything I've ever known." The more I reflect...the more I find myself fond of this place. It's buitiful. "And that is?" I lower my head. "Honer." I may be his son but I will not allow myself to lose the lessons mortals tought me. "I have grown fond of earth. You humans have taught me more than I can recount. If these lessons are to continue, then I cannot let this planet, living being perish because of my need for revenge." I look at the man. "I will find a way to protect you and honer your plight." The man smiles. "Thank you." I nod. "Do you require help to return to your home?" The man give me a chuckle. "As long as you don't mind." I smile. "It is no trouble." I face the man. "Just...don't touch my wings." The man's smile fades. I grab the man's hand and jump us as I flip him and let him sit on my back as he grabs onto my back and holds on tightly. "What the fuck!?" I chuckle at his response. "You could have warned me!" I chuckle again. I find this man amusing. "Holy shit...we're high up." I can feel his trembling. "Do not let go." His fear is quickly replaced with suprise. "I can see everything from up here." And I can see the city. Its light glow in the dark as a beacon. "The city won't be to busy but we should land if you don't want to get cought." I have no intentions of leaving him behind. "I am not worried about being seen. If other wish to stand in my way, I will pass them." The man shifts. "But there will be people who will try and stop you." I shake my head. "Then they will fall. I won't kill indiscriminately, I will defend myself until the time comes." I must practice patience. I cannot rush ahead without direction and anger alone. I must recover my weapons and myself before I face him. Without my full strangth in body and mind, I will not win. Even if I must sacrifice many things along the way. "I hope you find a diffrent solution." I can hear many plights like his. "I do to." I'm happy this man found me. We enter the city as I remember the route we took. We quickly fly through as I find his house and slowly decend and land infront of his house. I conceal my wings and armer. The man walks up to his door as he pouses. "Thank you...for listening." I pull out the feather. "If it helps...I didn't believe in any of the Christian bullshit but now...if i believe in anything. I believe in you." I look at the man. "If anyone can figure out how to stop 'god' from being the tyrant you say he is...you can." I lower the feather. "Before you go." The man looks at me. "If you require help. Call for me. I may not have all of my strangth but unlike my brothers and sisters, I will awnser your prayers. You saved me from a fate far worse then death. For that, I owe you my best wishes and loyalty." The man smiles. "Thanks. Let's hope it doesn't come to that." I nod. "Ferwell. Perhaps, we will meet again under better sercomstances." The man chuckles. "Maybe. Either way, things will get better. No matter what happens." If there's one thing I've been taught...a better time will come. No matter how bad things appear to be. The man opens his door and enters. He closes the door as I turn and look at my feather. 'G-great angle of death. C-can you hear me?' The priest. What does he want now? I close my eyes and connect to him. 'What do you seek, priest?' He chuckles. 'Y-you can hear me?! O-oh great angle, f-forgive me but I f-forgot to tell you o-one more thing.' He forgot something? 'L-lucifer. T-the king of hell i-is here. He seeks s-somthing of great value. H-he lies within a bar o-of great popularity. I-if anyone can help you o-on your quest, i-it will be him.' He also knows where she is to. I must find her soon. I have to. 'Your knowledge is appreciated, priest. If you hear anything of value, let me know.' I can hear the priest cheering. 'I-i will oh g-great angle. T-thank you f-for allowing me t-the great privilege of s-serving you!' I open my eyes. Lucifer. A face I wished never to see again. However...if i can get him to help me...perhaps he would be asset. His history is known. However...if he truly has left hell behind and seeks change, he may do more than I expect. He didn't fight me before. I doudt he will now. I slowly put the feather in one of my many pockets as I look around. If humans memories are to be believes, he live in this city. This city called: new York. Or was it los angiles? These names are confusing and vast. I must find his work place. He works at a night club. It should be active at night if it's namesake is to be believe. I start to walk as I need to find the pictures when the man took me to the church. Maybe I can find it that way.
