I slowly wake up as my body aches. Everything is sore. I try to move but the pain is unbearable. I've been sore before but this...this is miserable. I slowly open my eyes as I'm blinded by a bright light. "He moved!" I slowly lift my hand to block the light as my body starts to wake up a the soreness slowly widdles away enough to where I can move without gritting my teeth. "Finally awake?" Am I hearing voices again? "On your right brid boy." I lower my hand as my eyes adjust. "You've been out for a while. Take it slow. Whatever happened to you, it took alot out of you." I look to my right to see a human man sitting next to me. He's wearing glasses and hitting in a chair with a book. "Don't worry. Your safe." I look around as I don't recicnize this place. "Your in my house. I figured if people saw you with those bug wings, somebody would try and do something." Do something? "What...do you mean?" He chuckles. "I don't know. Take you to a pet shop? Cut off your wings and sell them? Knowing people nowadays, anything really." Let them try. Angle wings cannot be removed unless the body is dead. I sit up as I feel a sharp pain in my stumic. Look down to see that I'm wrapped up in bandages. "Didn't I just say take it easy?" My armer. Where's my armer? I look around as I don't see my Armour or my sword. "My blade." I take in a deep breath as I focus. I have to heal. "You mean that big ass katana you had?" What's a 'katana'? "I've got it stashed away. Don't want anyone seeing it while they visit. That old Armours stashed away to. It's got a big ass whole in it though." Whole? I grab onto the bandages as I rip them off. "What are you doing? Don't just rip those off!" I look down and see that there were sevral layers of bandages as their soaked in blood. Whatever wounded me, it didn't tickle. I'll be sore for a while but it's nothing I can't shake off. "How...what?" I turn my body and plant my feet onto the ground. "You had a big ass whole I'm your stumic. How did you manage to...how did you even survive that?" It appears humans have forgotten what angles are. "What are you?" I look at my hands as my body is healed. I exerted myself so all of the damages isn't repaired but I must remain hidden anyway. Heaven will be hunting me. I want to avoid hell. I do not know what state lucifer is in and I'd rather not know until I've recovered. "Hello. You there?" I look up at the man. "What the hell are you? You look human but those big ass wings and ability to survive having a cannonball sized whole in your torso proves your not." No wonder I was in pain. "I am Argus." The man chuckles. "Argus?" He leans back in his chair. "As in, 'the angle of death' argus?" I stand up as my blood begins to flow as my body fully wakes up. "Correct." The man slowly stands up. "Youre kidding...right?"
"No" the man takes a step back. "Your...your not here for me right? I might be 34 but I'm not that old." Humans. They scare so easy. "No." He takes in a deep breath. "No as in, not here to kill me?" I shake my head. "I knew you humans scare easy but your bodies process fear much differently." He freezes. "Are you dead?" He shakes his head. "Then I am not here for you. I only seek out the dead." I lower my head. "Or that was my purpose before this." Wait. I can sense it. My armer and my blade. Their close. Good. It seems their power eninates like mine. As long as I keep my power low, I will remain undetected. "Okey good." I look around as this room is made from a refined wood. "What is this place?" The man stops hiding behind his chair. "This is my home. It's not much but it's confertable." At least he's humble. Those snobby souls always pressed my nerves. "Where have you stashed my armer and sword?" I walk twords the door as the man stops me. "Hold on." I face the man. "If your really Argus then what those crazy ass priests are right." Priests? "If your here then that means heaven and hell are at war. Angles and demons will be fighting all across the earth. Millions will die." Another foolish prediction. "Nonsense." Heaven and hell have not fought for some time. "What do you mean?" Why must I awnser such dumb questions? "Heavens and hells army's have not battles for eons. If anything were to happen, heaven would attack both your world and hell." Damn. Now that I've said it, father would have sent his army down by now. Angles could be anywhere. I cannot hide in plane sight. On top of that, if any Angles were to wonder by, they would sense my presence, no matter how low I would keep my power. "Isnt...heaven the good guys?" I shake my head. "He'll demons are more pleasant than any angle." The man freezes. "But...demons are monsters." Humans are so I'll advised. "Demons only look evil becuase they accept their worst sides. They accept how they live and they live in truth. Father made them look hideous to boost his own ego." I shake my head. "I will not be questions like some Sheppard." I turn and open the door as I see two small humans. They stare at me with wide eyes. "For fuck sake." The man pulls me back and closes the door. "You can't just do that!" I look at the man as my patients is running out. He plants his hand on his face as he shakes his head. "You cannot keep me here. I have my own problems to sort out." I have to find those people father is using to boost his power. I can feel their power, even now it's easy to track them. "Slow down. You just woke up from a 3 week long coma and your already trying to fight? Your going to die if you think you can fight anyone right now!" I look at the man. "What make you believe that I'm weak?" He shakes his head. He wings his arms open. "Hit me." I pouse for a moment. "What?" He gives me a confident smile. "Hit me. I'll prove your not ready." Does he even know what could happen? "You humans are as stubborn as always. You do realize you could die correct?" He chuckles. "Not when your like this." I shake my head. "Come on. Prove that your not weak. I dare you." Idiot. I punch him in his stumic as he instantly reals from it. He clenches his stumic and struggles to breath. "You were warned human." He slowly gathers himself. "Okey. I have a name...it's jake..." he straightens up as he gets his breathing under control. "And second, I didn't expect that. How are you this strong after that fall?" I shake my head again. "I'm not like the others. I do not subject myself to petty wims." The man gives me a confused look. "Others? There's more like you?" Why is he asking so many questions. My patience is out. "Okey, okey...give me a moment." The man crossed his arms. He takes his time as I hear the door creek open. I look over and see a small humans head peaking from behind the door. She stares with amazement. "Alright." I look back at the man. "I think I might be able to help." I fold my arms. "Just lision." I grow weary of this waist of time. "There's been alot of wierd things happening in the city lately. Alost more priests have been showing up ever since you crashed. They've been swarming the crater. I've also been seeing some of them in armer and carrying swords, knives, even guns." He likes to spy. "I've got a buddy who's been keeping tracking of alot of them ever since the priests have showing up over a year ago. If anyone could really help you, it'll be him." I let my arms fall. "Then we leave." I look at the door as the girl pulls back instantly. "Hold on bird brain." He grabs my arm as I look at him. He looks at my arm and quickly let's go. "You need some new cloths. If you go out in your armer or looking like this, you'll be cought instantly. I for one don't want to put my family in danger. If they found put I let you stay here, I would never hear the end of it." I fold my arms again. "Here, I've got extra cloths. They might not fit but they'll do for now. At least until you get situated." He turns and opens a door. "I'll be in the living room when your done changing." He walks to the door. "After that, I'll show where your armer is so you know where it is." He opens the door and leave as he closes the door. I look at the room as it's filled with old cloths. Maybe he is correct. Leaving like this would slow my agenda. I will also have to conceal my wings. At least that is easy. I walk to the room and grab a shirt. These are not made for angles. I bring my wings in as I put the shirt on as it fits well enough. I grab some pants and put them on as I channel some magic and change the look and size a little bit. Old times with her. Hiding in plane sight with the humans. I hope she's okey. Now I have to retrieve my armer. That is also easy to cancel. I look at my new outfit as it's darker than normal with blue and gold lines. Normally i wouldn't go with something like this but humans these days have a diffrent fashion sense. As long as it keeps me from being detected. I really do hope she is okey. I can sense her out there. I can't sense much anymore. Falling from heaven must have done more damage than I thought. I do feel weaker as I can tell some of my abilities are now blocked. It's the curse here. Those priests have this world shrouded in the cursed magic. It's locked most of my abilities witch means I will struggle to even defend myself. I can unblock myself later. For now, I have to claim my equipment. I close the door as I turn and head for the main door. I open it and walk out as I see those children again as they run away. "It's the angle!" They run away fast as I walk down the hall. It's clear he works hard. This building is well kept. I continue walking as I get to an opening as I see the man sitting at a chair. The children run up to him as they smile. "He's back! The angles back!" I'm suprised they even know what an angle is. He turns and looks at me. "I didn't have any of those cloths." I shake my head. "Where is my armer?" The man pouses. "Just becuase you change your look doesn't mean you can hide your armer under all of that." My patience runs thin. "I will not have my equipment hidden from me." He get up and shakes his head. "Fine but don't come crawling back go me to hide your shit again." Humans don't know anything. "Follow me." The man begins to walk as I follow him as we weave through the building and walk outside. The curse. It's suffocating. We walk to a smaller building as the man pulls out a ring with keys on it as he unlocks the door and opens it. "There." He steps aside as I see my damaged armer. From the look, I can tell why I was so injured. "I did what I could to clean it but there was alot of blood and I didn't want to scare the kids." I place my hand on the chest plate as I use my magic disintegrate it. I can summon my armer whenever I need it but I have to in possession of it. The rest of my armer follows suit as I grab my sword. It still throngs with power as it curse the curse around me and adds it to its own power. Mother...I can sense her power. She's become one with my blade. She is gone but she still guides me. If only it were that simple. "I'm not even going to ask." I can't dissolve my blade. It's power is to strong. I need a sheath to conceal it. "Walking around with that things going to draw alot of attention." I look at the man. "So be it." I flip the blade as I hold it backwards. "At least it looks like a fancy walking stick." Walking stick? "Let's get you to my guy. After I introduce you to him, I'm gone." Good. The less people involved the better. "Where is this 'guy'?" He closes the door and puts his keys back into his pocket. "He's mt the old church outside the city. He's a...diffrent...kind of priest." Let's hope he isn't one of fathers. If he is, his blood won't be the only one that soaks the earth this day.
