Two days.
It's been two days since their little tryst in Lexton's room.
Yesterday, Teval had used his attribute to speak into Lexton's ear from afar, and it was just too fun watching him shudder or stiffen from across the room while everyone else was distracted. It made for a very entertaining day. To his credit, Lexton managed to stay silent during most of this, only giving Teval fiery glares. And Teval might have been excited to find out how Lexton would retaliate.
"Are you going to teach me naughty signs?" Teval had asked just before Lexton was about to call everyone for dinner to receive a flurry of signs that went so fast, and he's dying to know the ones he didn't catch. Feeling cheeky after dinner, he'd pestered Lexton to teach him the signs only to be ignored. So, once they were upstairs alone, he'd slowly pinned Lexton to the wall while kissing in the hall and quickly figured out that Lexton likes this sort of thing a lot more than he let during their first kissing session.
This had prompted Lexton to drag Teval into his bedroom for a discussion about getting the proper oils they were missing from the night before, and to make sure they wear tagged stones to ward off illnesses. It was a very productive conversation despite being interrupted by kissing. It really calmed Teval's nerves about having a sexual partner again, and he's looking forward to exploring that more, as well as Lexton's body.
Now, Teval is grinning as he thinks back on it all, breathing in the cool winter air as he returns home from an early shift at Iggi's warehouse. It's been raining for the past few days, and there's something so calming about the consistent yet different sounds of the raindrops drowning out everything else. He'd spent the morning sifting through the tiniest little pieces for defects, and the constant drip outside the window he sat next to kept him focused every time his mind would drift to Lexton's lips.
As he approaches the house, Teval passes the postman, giving him a nod before climbing the steps.
"Oh, hey," Risol says as Teval enters. "You have a letter."
Teval takes it to see it's from Riyan, and it feels lighter than her previous ones, so he tears it open. He unfolds the one small page to read 'I will arrive just after this does.'
Risol peeks over his arm at the paper and says, "That sounds ominous."
"I'm sure my sister means well." Teval tries to decide what she plans to do as he folds the paper, returns it to the envelope, and shrugs his coat off. She's clearly taking action about the contents of his last letter.
"Whatever you say," Risol says with a shrug, and Teval laughs as he takes off his boots to head upstairs and put the note in his room.
Teval returns downstairs to get some water from the kitchen and finds Lexton stocking the small pantry under the stairs. When the younger man closes the door, the two lock eyes, and Lexton's narrow just enough to intrigue Teval.
"How did your shopping trip go?" he asks as he moves closer to Lexton, checking through the doorway to the dining area to make sure nobody is nearby. He can hear Seran and Deson having a heated discussion in her workshop and knows they'll be preoccupied.
"Fine," Lexton answers.
"Did you get what we talked about?" Teval takes a drink of his water.
"Had to sneak away from Risol, but it's in my room." Lexton's eyes focus on his neck.
"Will you keep your promise about what you're going to do to me?" Teval asks as he backs Lexton up against the pantry door. This is a lot more fun when he knows his partner likes this sort of thing.
