Elaine's*pov*

As I sat beside Davey's bed I got to talking with him getting to know him as I helped him recover from his accident I helped him walk around when I knew he could handle it more as I kept his bandages clean and helped him bath by sponge bathing him and smiles as he was getting better day by day he was a tough son of a bitch and I admired that about him as he was always saying something to make me smile as I couldn't keep a smile on my face the last couple months due to my idiot ex and signs as I felt lost as one day I walked in to check on Davey I changed his bandages and checked his charts and everything and kissed his cheek without thinking.

Elaine: oh my god I'm so sorry Mr. Smith I wasn't thinking

Davey: it's okay Elaine I'm not mad besides it's nice to see u around here then the other doctors

Elaine: well it's nice to see my favorite patient to besides I don't think I've doctored up anyone else as much as I have with u which is new for me

Davey:* laughs as I was able to sign myself out and sits up stretching* so when can u get off work I wanna make sure I have a doctor around for my brother Bret

Elaine: why?

Davey: because he didn't once show up while I was in here so I'm kicking his fuckin arse till he drops

Elaine: oh boy* goes with Davey back to the hart home as he started beating on Bret as soon as he seen him as I didn't know what to do I tried to keep Davey focused on me as Owen grabbed Bret until Bret speared me to get to Davey and screams as I hit the floor roughly as pain shot through me I was in a heap through the coffee table as Owen pulled Bret off me and groans as I tried sitting up and coughs as I started shaking as I breathed ticked off*

Owen: tr fuck Bret she didn't do anything wrong why spear her dickhead

Elaine:* stands up and punches Bret in the jaw I sent him reeling backwards* fucking goof screw u

Bret: u wish u could I'm married hoe stay away from my brother Davey he's sick enough without your disease  around

Lily: Bret what's going on love* breaths walking downstairs as I was pregnant and winces as I seen an old friend and hugs her* omg Elaine girl haven't seen u since collage

Elaine: your married to this dickhead* points at Bret who speared me*

Lily: why is he an asshole?

Elaine: he speared me through the table  for holding Davey back from killing him

Lily: Bret what the hell she's a surgeon she made sure he stayed alive didn't she cut her some slack!

Davey: actually while yous were off hunnymooning iwas almost dead she was the first one on scene on her wedding day she got dumped for saving my life I owe this woman everything for keeping me alive for your ass Bret I asked if u called or anything everyday I wanted my brother there but u were to busy to care she helped me walk again I'm still kinda learning as u can tell with the crutches I'm still healing

Bret:* signs and looks at her* u really worked with Davey to help him walk again? That takes weeks sometimes months to do?

Elaine:* shrugs and smiles* I didn't mind besides he was good company and helped keep my focus on my job and not a failed wedding so I stuck around to help him besides he is a sweet guy he helped me distract kids as I had to give them flu needles which helped alot* signs as I my pager went of and winces as I had to leave* gotta go it's an emergency at the hospital I'm so sorry Davey

Davey: it's okay Elaine go do what u do best save lives I'll be here

Elaine:* rushes out to my car and takes off going to the hospital I went straight to work as I winced in pain I helped rush three people into the or and started working on them immediately as I worked as breaths as I didn't have enough hands as Davey and the guys came in and helped me I guided them even Bret listened to instructions as I relaxed a bit and signs* u guys are life savers I was swamped in here

Bret: hey it taught us how hard your job is u deserve more credit Elaine

Owen: Bret's right for once u do deserve more credit and u got Davey better when he should have still been in worse condition u saved his life on scene

Elaine:* blushes a bit and looks down* I was just doing my job at the time I like to make sure my patients survive to see another day it's my job and I do it well besides I didn't want to be sued by u guys for him dying on my table not happening

Jim: gotta give her credit she ain't stupid!

Davey: not my fault I found a smart one  but honestly she deserves an award for her job tell them how many patients you've kept alive so far

Elaine: almost nine thousand seven and eighty two including Davey

Bret: now that's a surgeon worth trusting if they can do that!

Elaine: I love my job what can I say besides I don't need to say I use a man's money to buy things I use my own

Davey:* looks at the guys and smirks* now u see why I respect her

Bret: okay now I see why Davey stares at your butt all day

Owen: do u have a sister by chance? Maybe three of them* yelps as my wife slapped the back of my head and chuckles* joking baby only joking I love u u know that* kisses her gently*

Hailey: your lucky I love u Owen Hart or my foot would be up your ass by now
