ABLUS POV
-----------------------
"Okay, I've packed, gotten dressed, tried to do my hair, brushed my teeth...what am I forgetting?" I ramble.

"Listen, Al, even if you had nothing  but yourself you'd be fine. We can provide everything you need," my friend reassures me. He gives my hand a squeeze as I sling my bag over my shoulder. He reaches for his but I get to it first.

"I'll carry this for you."

"That's really not necessary-"

"Just let me." My tone leaves no room for argument, and so he let's me. Hand in hand we rush down the halls not exactly being quiet. Teachers shut their doors as we pass, but who cares? I'm going to stay with Scorpius Malfoy for winter break! Best Christmas Present ever.

We pop our heads in the headmistress' office as we pass. "Heading out boys?" She asks. We nod and she gives a light chuckle and wave. "Have a nice break."

"Thank you headmistress!" Scorp calls back as we keep running. Professor Longbottom has offered to take us to the nearest UWT station which we gladly agreed to. Ever since we've be going to Hogwarts the Professor and my parents have gotten closer again and Scorpius says his dad has even reconciled with him, feeling terrible for how he acted all those years ago. Nice of him, huh?

Neville is waiting by the edge of Hogwarts' wards and smiles brightly as we rush over. "Ready to  go back to London, Boys?"

"Ready as ever sir."

He comfortingly takes myself and Scorpius by the arms. "Alright, I'm gonna count down from three and apparate us to a small town on the edge of Glasgow. From there a train will take you all the way to where Draco- sorry, Mr. Malfoy is waiting. Alright?" We both nod. "'Kay. 1...2...3!" There's a flash of light and a strange rushing feeling. In no time at all we're at the train station, bags in hand, saying goodbye to our professor. He wishes us well and disappears back to hogwarts with a crack.

Scorpius loops his free arm with mine. "Ready Al? This is it," he states excitedly. "My dad is simply ecstatic about meeting you. You'll love him, I'm sure!" Scorpius tells me all about how we're all going to go and cut down a tree before decorating it and drinking hot cocoa. About how they do Christmas karaoke and dance and sing. About how they honour Astoria's background and decorate with her Hannakah things from when she was a child. All of it was very interesting to learn about.

"Wait wait wait, so after decorating the tree you guys absolutely always sing All I Want For Christmas?" I ask to clarify. Scorpius nods with an excites squal.

Through the entire train ride we talk about the differences of our winter experiences. I tell him about all the family we have to visit and places we go along with the stress of finding gifts before Christmas. He cannot comprehend the thought that I don't get to relax and do nothing on Christmas day, meanwhile I'm baffled he can.

"The only people we see are Grandmother and Auntie Andy," he explains with a shrug, "and they stay with us from Christmas eve until boxing day most years." The thought that I'm going to be able to relax this Christmas is mind melting. Honestly just crazy.

"I can't wait, Scorp," I tell me friend, wrapping an arm around his shoulders which is awkward considering the high difference but comfortable none the less. He lays in my chest so it's not so awkward and that's where we stay for the rest of the ride until the train pulls into the station.
