Luz posed in front of a covered up whiteboard, her hand raised with a glyph in her hand. The small group was outside of the owl house, king slept peacefully next to Luz whilst Eda, Lilith and coralline sat at desks like students.
" welcome to day three of luz's magic boot camp! "
As she spoke, fire suddenly erupted from two glyphs that laid on the floor either side of the whiteboard. Coralline clapped along with Lilith who was extremely into the lesson, Eda on the other hand was doodling away on her desk.
" we've covered every glyph I've learnt up until now, so today we'll learn something new " she made the lesson sound interesting however coralline still didn't know why she was there, she could still do magic unlike the two women next to her. But ultimately she was bored and the bats have been a slow business lately.

" are we going to learn a never seen before glyph? "
Lilith asked, she's been desperate to have her magic back after sharing the curse with Eda so it was nice luz was doing this for her. " unfortunately no... these four either came from nature or another witches spell. I don't know how to find more "
Luz sounded a little disappointed whilst pointing to the spells that rested on the board behind her, coralline had to resist the urge to slap them and cause them to activate.

" in any case! Today we're learning how to alter glyphs to do specific things "
Luz turned over the board to show more shapes and what not, coralline didn't bother drawing the glyphs as she had no use for them. Instead she mindlessly doodled on the desk, swaying her feet under her whilst Lilith put her hand to get luz's attention. " teacher! Did I do it right "
She held up her own paper which she'd drew four glyphs connected in a circle. Even though she was free from the emperor and his strict ways she still seemed to be uh... a bit of a teacher pet. The black and white haired girl leaned forward to look at her paper but to also see what was making Eda so quiet. " let's see how your doing Eda " luz's attention drew away from Lilith to finally check out what Eda was carving.. into the desk?

Coraline leaned over more, her hands planted firm on the table to catch a small glimpse of edas connected glyphs. " I don't think that's such a good- " " power glyph combo go! " before Luz could stop her edas hand slammed onto the desk, activating the spell below her. It flicked for a little, seemingly to not work.  " well that could have gone worse- "
Before the girl could finish a loud bang and dark smoke rose from the table Luz and Eda covering their faces from the thick smoke.
" oh dang... I was hopping for more of a ice blast situation " the older woman's arms crossed, ever since the situation back with the selkidomus hunt shes been learning glyphs mode. Unfortunately she's moving a quicker rate than she should.

Whilst Luz was talking to Eda about learning the basics first, a small buzz from her pocket caught corallines attention. She shimmied in her seat before finding her scroll, upon opening there was a large text from raine. The notification made her stand up, the movement caused the chair leg to get stuck by a rock leading to her almost tripping. Lilith looked up weirdly as coralline made a quick bee line to Eda, hiding her scroll against her chest she leant down as Luz turned her back.
" I'll be back soon, new uh... intel just came in " she mumbled, grabbing the small palisman she possessed out of her pocket. Darcy who had been sleeping under her desk was now rubbing against her legs, the shadow like creatures weaving between them. Eda turned, her arm resting on the back of her chair. " oh yeah, go ahead I'll make sure this little fella stays from trouble " Eda smiled and leaned over the chair to pick up Darcy from the girls feet, Coraline hand going through the shadow to pet a the real fur under it. " I appreciate it, I'll get us some more elixir on my way home! "
