[Author's POV]"HELL NO! IT CAN'T END LIKE THIS!" Rika shouted in frustration, slamming the last volume of *Demon Slayer* shut and tossing it aside.
Tears streamed down her face uncontrollably. "That... This... This isn't fair to them. Obanai, Mitsuri, Genya... and Muichiro," she whispered, her voice cracking.
Rika was a dedicated anime fan, and *Demon Slayer* was her favorite. She couldn't accept the tragic fates of the Hashiras.
She had locked herself in her room for days, consumed by her grief and frustration. She wished she could do something to change their fates, not realizing that her wish might alter her own life.
[Rika's POV]
I had been hiding under my covers for four days already.
"Rika! Come out! You're being childish! It's been four days! Come out or do you want to stay in there forever? Mom is really worried about you! Please, just come out!" I heard my little brother, Rio, pleading from outside the door.
I didn't care anymore. That bastard Koyoharu had ripped a part of my heart away. But I was thirsty... Rio was right. Mom must be really worried about me.
With a heavy sigh, I decided to get up and try to unlock the door. But as I reached for the handle, everything suddenly went black.

I slowly opened my eyes, but everything was blurry.
Ouch... My head hurts so much!
I thought as I tried to adjust my vision by blinking a few times. After a few blinks, my vision was clear enough to see my surroundings.
Wait a minute... Where am I?
The room was definitely not mine. It was a traditional Japanese room.
Suddenly, the door slid open, revealing a beautiful woman—
Wait a minute, I know her. Suma?
"Oh! You're finally awake! Makio, Hinatsuru! The girl is awake!" Suma exclaimed, and the two other women she called entered the room.
Wait a second... aren't these Tengen's wives?
I must be dreaming, right?
I slapped myself, making the three wives look at me in shock.
"Ah!! Are you okay?! Why did you do that?!" I heard Suma-san lecturing me.
Oh... still not awake? Maybe I didn't slap hard enough.
I slapped myself again.
"Ahh!! Makio-san!! Hinatsuru-san! Do something! She's slapping herself!" Suma cried out.
"Hinatsuru, I think the girl has lost her mind," Makio-san said.
"N-no! I didn't!" I protested.
"Okay, okay. First of all, are you feeling okay now?" Makio asked.
"Yeah... I think so," I replied.
"Suma-san, can you bring her some lunch?" Hinatsuru asked, and with that, Suma-san exited the room.
"Can I ask where I am?" I inquired.
"Oh! Yeah, that was rude of us. You are in one of the Hashira's houses. I'm Hinatsuru, that is Makio, and the girl who just left is Suma. We're the wives of Tengen-sama," she explained.
I know... but how did I get here?
"Oh! Where did you find me? How did I get here?" I asked again.
"Tengen-sama found you unconscious in the woods. The sun was almost setting, so he couldn't leave you there. He brought you to us, and you've been unconscious for four days now," she explained.
"Do you remember how you got into the woods, Miss... uhm..." Makio asked.
"Oh, I'm Rika. Thank you for taking care of me. And no... the last thing I remember is getting up to get some water... and then everything went black," I explained, leaving out some details.
Wait.
"You said that your husband is a Hashira?" I asked, and they both nodded.
So Tengen is still a Hashira... this means I still have time... to change the story. But... is Rengoku still alive? I hope he's still alive.
Should I ask? I know it's risky, but... I need to know which arc I'm in.
"Do you know someone named Rengoku?" I asked, gripping the cover that was draped over me.
"Oh, the Fire Hashira? Yes, of course. Why do you ask?" Hinatsuru responded.
"Is... is he alive?" I asked again, and they both just laughed.
"Of course he is. He's one of the strongest Hashira," Makio said.
I let out a sigh of relief.
"Do you know him?" Makio asked.
Uhm... what should I say?
"I saw—" I was interrupted by Suma entering the room.
"Here's the lunch!" she said, placing the tray in front of me.
"Thank you so much for the meal," I said as my mouth started to water, and I began to eat.
I just got an idea. I'm really lucky to be in a Hashira's house.
I finished chewing the food in my mouth before asking them another question.
"I know I'm asking too much, but can I ask you a favor?" I asked the three wives, who looked at each other.
"I want to be a Demon Slayer too. Can I meet Tengen-sama?" I asked.
