Yuri gazed out the window, her mind consumed by Jimin's neglect. He hadn't even bothered to call her since he left, and her frustration grew with each passing minute. Her phone suddenly rang, breaking the silence, and she ignored it, knowing it was Jimin on the other end. She wasn't ready to talk to him yet.Just then, her mother's phone rang, and she answered, "Hello?" Her mother's response surprised her, "Son, how are you?" Yuri's eyes widened in exasperation. This idiot is calling my mother now?
Her mother passed the phone to Yuri, who reluctantly took it, her voice monotone, "WHAT?"
Jimin's voice came through, laced with a playful tone, "Is my baby mad at me~~~" Yuri's face flushed as she realized the phone was on speaker, and her father, driving, couldn't help but chuckle.
"Focus on driving, Dad," Yuri said, embarrassed, taking the phone closer to her ear.
Jimin apologized, his voice softening, "I'm sorry, baby. I'll return sooner than expected. I promise." Yuri's heart skipped a beat as his words washed over her, but a pang of unease lingered. She felt like she was slowly fading away from him, losing her grip on his attention.
Without a word, Yuri dropped the call, her eyes drifting to the shopping bags beside her. Her parents had taken her out shopping to lift her mood, but now, as the night wore on, they were heading home, the silence in the car palpable.
The city lights blurred outside, and Yuri's thoughts returned to Jimin. She couldn't shake off the feeling that she was losing him, that he was slipping away. The shopping bags, once a distraction, now seemed like a hollow comfort. Yuri's heart ached, and she wondered if Jimin truly understood her feelings.
She was lost in her thoughts when she heard her dad shouting.
"WHO THE FUCK IS DRIVING ON THE WRONG SIDE!!" She saw a car moving towards them in a hurry. But before she could say anything she heard a loud thud.
A car bumped into them from their left. "Oh god what's happening?" Yuri said out of fear. She felt everything happened very slowly when they stopped at a random place. All cars were gone now but her father was still a little panic.
"You guys okay ?" Her father asked looking at them and her mother nodded. " DAD WATCH OUT!!" Yuri yelled but with a loud crash her head hit the window and everything went black.
___He was right there in his car, tapping his fingers on staring wheel and witnessing the whole scenario infront of him.
The car crumpled like an accordion, its metal skin buckling under the force of the truck's impact. The sound of shattering glass and crushing steel filled the air as the vehicle flipped onto its side, leaving a trail of debris in its wake.
The man dazed and disoriented, struggled to free himself from the wreckage, his body battered and bruised. Blood trickled from his forehead, mingling with the shattered glass and twisted metal.
The darkness was only illuminated by the faint glow of the car's interior lights, casting an eerie glow on the crumpled metal. The man groaning in pain, struggled to move, his vision blurry.
Suddenly, the sound of footsteps echoed through the night, heavy and deliberate. He emerged from the shadows, his face twisted in a cruel smile. He approached the wreckage, his eyes gleaming with malice, as he gazed upon the man's vulnerable form.
The man's heart raced with fear, his mind racing to comprehend the horror of the situation. Taehyung's voice cut through the night, low and menacing, " It's been a long time Mr. Kang ".
Taehyung's eyes glinted with malice as he leaned in closer. "You have something I want, something that will change the course of everything".
He moved his gaze towards the lady who was half conscious beside him and then he looked at the back seat.
"Ahh! There's my baby. I'm here to take her with me Mr. Kang I hope I have your permission though". He said with a cold face.
"YOU BASTARD! DON'T YOU DARE LAY YOUR DIRTY HANDS ON MY DAUGHTER" he tried to free himself but failed.
"Mr Kang, I came at your house to tell how much I love your daughter, didn't I? But you said a man like me deserves to rot alone forever right?" He said chuckling sarcastically.
"I - please leave my daughter I'm begging you" Mr. Kang said with all his remaining energy. But Taehyung ignored him and moved to the back seat. He opened the door and carried her in his arms.
"Oh no! Too late Mr. Kang" he said and moved back to his car ignoring his yells and curses.
"'Ah, Yuri" he said removing some strands of hair from her bleeding forehead "You've been a thorn in my side for far too long. But now, you're at my mercy. You see, I've been searching for you, and finally, you're in my grasp. You're coming with me darling. Your father, your boyfriend can't protect you now... no one can."
Being seated in his car he nodded to the truck driver who was already waiting for a signal from him.
With a twisted grin, he aimed the truck's grille at the car's fragile frame. With a bone-crushing impact, the truck slammed into the car, sending it spinning like a top, its metal skin crumpling like paper. Glass shattered, steel screamed, and the sound of crunching metal filled the air as the car was crushed beneath the truck's merciless wheels.
______Taehyung burst through the door of the doctor's office, the unconscious girl limp in his arms.
Dr. Lee, looked up from his desk, concern etched on his face. "What happened?" he asked, rushing to assist. Taehyung laid her on the examination table, his voice low and urgent. "She was in an accident. I need you to treat her wounds, but... there's something else."
Dr. Lee's eyes narrowed. "What is it?" Taehyung hesitated, his gaze darting around the room before settling on the doctor. "I need you to make sure she doesn't remember anything. Not yet."
Dr. Lee's expression turned skeptical. "I can sedate her, but-" "No," Taehyung interrupted. "I need something more permanent. At least for now." The doctor's eyes widened, understanding the implications.
"You want me to induce amnesia." Taehyung nodded, his jaw clenched. "Yes. Can you do it?" Dr. Lee nodded slowly. '"I can try. But I have to warn you, this is risky. We could be causing more harm than good."
Taehyung's eyes locked onto Yuri's pale face. " I'll take that risk." He touched her cheeks softly and said "You're safe now.... For the time being. But don't think for a second that you're free. You're mine and I'll keep you mine..... No matter what."
