Epilogue one

I woke up in the middle of the night to a strange, wet sensation. Groggily, I reached down, feeling the dampness spread beneath me. My heart sank. For a moment, I was mortified, thinking I had peed myself. Tears of embarrassment rose in my eyes, and I couldn't hold them back. I started crying quietly, hoping not to wake Kartavya.

But he was a light sleeper, and my sobs quickly roused him. He turned towards me, his voice filled with concern. "Ani, what's wrong?"

"I... I think I peed myself," I stammered, my cheeks burning with shame. "I'm so sorry, I'm so embarrassed." I sobbed hiding my face in my hands.

He sat up quickly, his expression shifting from confusion to understanding. "Baby, it's okay. Don't worry," he said gently, reaching for the bedside lamp and turning it on. He quickly got out of the bed and made his way towards me. "Come on let's go to the bathroom." I was still crying. "Shh Ani, it's okay. Please stop crying, baby." He gently coaxed me and made me stand.

But as soon as I stood up another gush of liquid came out of me. I gasped looking at the large amount of liquid, and then it dawned on me that I didn't pee myself. I froze for a split second before I blurted out. "I think my water broke." My breathing quickened. "Oh my god, Avy! My water just broke." I exclaimed again as if he could see.

"I–I- I can see that." He stammered as his face paled. I tapped his and jerked his head towards me as if he was brought back from a trance. He gasped. "Oh my god! It's happening the baby is coming. We need to get you to the hospital immediately. Where is the bag we packed? Did we even pack a bag? Shit! Shit! Shit!" He started frantically darting around the room picking up the bag and putting random things into it.

Looking at him my panic was momentarily forgotten as I didn't know whether to laugh or cry at this ridiculous situation. "Avy!" I called as I looked at him still looking around in panic. "Kartavya Raichand!" I shouted. He froze turning to me with a shocked expression. I raised an eyebrow at him. He looked at me for a few beats then closed his eyes and took a deep breath. When he opened his eyes again his expression was calm he was the CEO Kartavya Raichand. He walked up to me and gently held my hand.

"Shit! I'm sorry baby. Let's get you to change. We have everything already ready. I will call Daniel to he will be ready with the car while you get change, okay?" He kissed my forehead as I nodded my head and walked into the bathroom to clean up and change. By the time I walked out, Avy was already ready waiting at the door with the hospital and a phone to his ear.

"I was calling Dr. Tanisha." He explained when I waddled to him. "You ready?" He asked his eyes full of concern and excitement. I nodded and we made our downstairs. "I told Maa and Papa they will be at the hospital in a few hours." When we reached the living room. Maa and Papa were standing there with huge smiles on their faces. Maa immediately came to hug me.

"Everything will be alright. We will be there in an hour or two after I wake up everyone." She assured me kissing my forehead. "Thank you, Maa." Papa followed, giving me a gentle hug. "You've got this," he said, his confidence bolstering my own.
