Curse you Paimon and your big mouth! And curse all these damn trees! You may be wondering, 'Where are you right now?'
Well I can answer that.
We are currently in the forest where a literal dragon could be resting, thanks to Paimon's great thinking of continuing in the dragon's path.
"...I hope we don't encounter any monsters here. Usually the ones that live in forests are far more dangerous," Paimon commented as she looked around for there to be one hiding behind a tree.
"Well they can't be as dangerous as a dragon," I grumbled, "What if this is his territory!?"
"Don't yell! What if it hears you?!" Paimon yelled. Ironic isn't it? "And how do you know it's a he? For all we know, it could be a she!"
We continued further into the heart of the forest with only a sight of a few animals. Strange... Ever since I awoke, monsters always seemed to be everywhere we went. Even if they were just cute slimes. Something was off. Was it the dragon that scared them off? With how big it was, I wouldn't be surprised.
"Huh? Look at that!" Paimon pointed at something.
Sirius ran to hide behind a tree. Before I could move my body, the loud sound from back in the Valley came back.
My view met a boy seeming to subdue an animal. Yet it was no mere animal. It was the dragon we were trying to avoid. Does the boy have a death wish?
A boy reached his hand towards the dragon and spoke to it.
"...Don't be afraid," he said to the dragon, "...It's alright now, I'm back."
His presence was serene; his voice as sweet as honey. The dragon was at peace.
"Is he talking...to a dragon?" Questioned Paimon.
As amazing as that was, it was extremely dangerous.
"...We should go," I said, grabbing Sirius's arm. It seems I could interact with the scenes if I was present. Good to know.
The farther we are from here the better. Something tells me that we should leave them alone.
However, fate had other plans. Sirius glowed with wind coming out of him.
"Oh?" Paimon let out.
Sensing Sirius's presence, it roared at the boy trying its claws at him. The boy stepped back avoiding the assault, and looked in our direction.
"Who's there!?" He is pissed at us. You could tell with those eyes; a look at them could form storms in the land.
The dragon shook, aggravated by our intrusion. The boy made one last eye contact with me before stepping back, and teleporting away. The dragon roared again and made its escape.
"That was close! Paimon thought Paimon would get blown away!" she shrieked thinking of the thought of landing in a high branch, forgotten for life. "Luckily Paimon managed to grab hold of Sirius's hair! Thanks."
"Good thing you didn't pull hair out."
"Good thing it wasn't me..."
"Just what was that? Paimon thought we were gonna get eaten."
"I think it has something to do with the boy talking to the dragon..."
"I can't believe dragons exist in this world," said Sirius.
"Yeah, Paimon gets why you're worried..."
"Well it didn't concern you enough to wait until tomorrow to advance apparently," I commented.
"Hey! Paimon said to advance with caution. Besides, the dragon could have still been here tomorrow even if we waited!"
"Better than almost getting eaten alive."
"Is talking to dragons normal?" Sirius interjected.
"Of course not! Does Paimon have to point out the obvious to you two?!" She kicked the air. I may not like her, but I have to admit she's adorable when she does that. Reminds me when bunnies thump in anger.
"Oh? What's that?" Something caught her attention. "There's some kind of shiny red thingy on the big rock over there... Let's go take a closer look."
"Does danger not exist in your senses," I grabbed her by the collar.
"Hey, let Paimon go!" She squirmed and threw punches at the air.
"That thing might as well be a bomb for all we know," I pointed at the crimson rock in the shape of a teardrop, "best we stay far away from it."
"Then why don't you say that to Sirius too?! He just grabbed it!" She yelled.
"Huh?" I looked at the rock, only to see Sirius hand holding the thing.
"Sirius..!? I thought we both were responsible here..?!?" I let go of Paimon and went to Sirius's side.
"Are you okay? Do you feel dizzy or anything?" I asked questions as I checked for any injuries.
"No. I'm fine," he said with a smile.
I wanted to grab that smile out of his face for giving me a freight.
"...Don't do that again, like, ever. Okay?"
"Mh-hhm," He nodded.
"Promise?" I grabbed him by the shoulder and made him promise.
"Promise."
"Good," letting him off the hook, I inspected the stone in his hand. "What is that? It looks like a tear."
"Paimon has never seen a stone like that before, so Paimon can't tell what it is. All Paimon knows is that it's dangerous. We should put it away from now."
"If it's dangerous, why would we take it with us in the first place???" I asked, trying to make sense of her level of intelligence.
"Okay, we've got it! Let's get outta here," she floats away.
"*Sight...* Ignored once again." Sirius patted my back. I pushed him away, "Don't touch me with the same hand you hold that thing with."
Ignoring my antics, we made our way out of this forest.
So, now we have a Crimson Crystal in our possession, a dragon on the loose, and a mysterious boy. We had to fight a few monsters–Sirius was the one that did all the work.
As we reached the other side of the forest, we were suddenly stopped by a girl in red.
"Hey, you! Stop right there!"
The girl came out jumping off a hill. It looked like a bird free in the sky.
"Wow..."
