As Mikami was walking, he asked, "Hey system, I see that all my unique skills are good, but I don’t have any skills useful for battles or attacks."

The system replied, "Yes, you have a good question. You already possess some normal skills for battle."

Mikami, surprised, responded, "What? You never told me that."

The system replied, "You never asked."

Mikami conceded, "That’s true. So, what are these skills?"

The system explained, "You have five skills you can use for battle: Blue Flames, which burn five times hotter than normal fire, and Sights, a skill that allows you to see what a person will do."

Suddenly, someone shouted, "Help!" Mikami was shocked. "Where is it coming from?" he wondered. He saw a girl being menaced by a huge wolf. "Hey system, what is that?"

The system answered, "It’s called the Great Wolf or Ferrin. It’s a mythical creature, with only about twenty existing in this world."

Mikami asked, "Is it that powerful? Can I beat it?"

The system answered, "No, you can’t at your current state. It’s too powerful for you, and you just arrived in this world."

Mikami determinedly said, "No, I need to save her now." The girl was crying as the Great Wolf prepared to attack her. Mikami rushed forward, unleashing his Blue Flames. "Go away, you bastard!" he shouted.

The Great Wolf responded, "Hey, you’ve got strong flames there, huh? I’ll end you, you bastard." Mikami’s mind flashed back to his previous life and the girl crying. He thought, "I don’t want to die again."

Out loud, he shouted, "I don’t want to die again!" Something clicked within him. The system activated a passive skill, evolving his Blue Flames to Navy Flames. Mikami attacked with Navy Flames, startling the Great Wolf.

The Great Wolf paused, "What the heck? Your attack got stronger, but I know it can’t kill me. But you have the unique skill Assimilation."

Mikami, nervously, replied, "Oh, yeah."

The Great Wolf asked, "Hey, what’s your name, kid?"

Mikami began to answer, "I’m—" but the system interrupted, "Don’t! You cannot reveal your real name in this world yet."

Mikami asked, "Why not?" The Great Wolf inquired, "Who are you talking to?"

Mikami apologized, "Oh, sorry. My name is Kiyoshi."

The Great Wolf said, "Okay then, name me and you’ll be my master."

Shocked, Mikami asked, "Wait, what? Be your master? Why me?" He turned to the system, "Hey system, can I name this dude?"

The system replied, "Yes, you can, but you’ll pass out afterward."

Mikami asked, "Pass out?"

The Great Wolf declared, "I think you’re worthy to be my master. Now name me at once."

Mikami realized he had no choice and said, "I’ll name you Kazue." As soon as he spoke, he passed out.

When Mikami—or should we call him Kiyoshi—woke up, he found himself in a bed. Stepping outside, he saw the girl and asked, "Hey, where are we?"

The girl replied, "We’re in the middle of nowhere. I set up a camp with what I was carrying."

Kiyoshi responded, "Oh, thanks. What is your name?"

The girl replied, "I’m Hanna."

Kiyoshi said, "Oh, Hanna. Nice name for a girl. Where’s Kazue?"

Hanna answered, "He went hunting for food, so when you wake up, you’ll have something good to eat."

Kiyoshi replied, "Oh, he did? Well, we’ll wait for him then."
