The system said, "That's a lot of questions, but I can answer them one by one. Let's start with who I am. I'm the system that guides you. I can do many things but have limitations. Let's set that aside for now. You can change my name if you like, and I can manifest outside of you whenever I want. However, your mental state right now is blocking me, so I did my best to get inside your head."

Mikami replied, "Oh, okay."

The system continued, "You are in a world called Eldoria, where people and monsters coexist."

Mikami, shocked, exclaimed, "What the heck? Monsters? You mean actual monsters?"

"Yes, you're right," the system responded. "But don't worry, you're in the Forest of—" The system glitched momentarily.

Mikami asked, "What? Forest of what?"

The system replied, "The Forest of—" Another glitch interrupted. "Sorry about that. I guess you need to gain more power to properly use me. My abilities are weakened due to your low mental state."

Mikami asked, "Okay, then what can I do?"

The system answered, "I'll explain. This is the skill you gained upon arriving here: a unique skill called 'System,' which is me to guide you. 'Pain Nullification' grants you the ability to nearly ignore all physical pain, effectively making you impervious to its sensation. You gained this because you requested to not feel pain."

Mikami nodded, "Oh yeah, I did say that."

The system continued, "'Omniscient Sage' is a passive skill that grants you vast knowledge and analytical abilities, allowing you to solve complex problems, strategize effectively, and learn new skills quickly. 'Devourer' is a unique skill that allows you to consume and assimilate the abilities and traits of other beings or objects, gaining their strength and knowledge."

Mikami replied, "Oh, that's great and powerful too."

The system went on, "'Adaptive Evolution' is a passive skill that enables you to evolve and adapt based on the challenges you face, continually growing stronger and more versatile. Lastly, 'Skill Assimilation' is a very rare unique skill. This ability enables you to gain new skills or enhance existing ones by directly experiencing or witnessing events and challenges. The more you engage in diverse activities, the more you absorb and integrate new skills into your repertoire."

Mikami marveled, "Oh, what the heck? I got a lot of cool skills."

The system affirmed, "Yes, you indeed have great skills that can protect you from harm and danger."

Mikami asked, "Hey system, you said earlier I could name you. Can I do that now?"

The system replied, "Yes, you can name me, but you can't do it right now."

"Why not?" Mikami inquired.

"Naming something, especially a monster or creature, requires a large amount of power. For example, naming a goblin requires a small amount of power, but naming higher-ranked monsters requires much more," the system explained.

"Why?" Mikami asked.

The system continued, "Because naming a monster makes them evolve, and not many monsters have their own names. Naming a monster can also help you."

"Oh, yeah? How?" Mikami asked.

The system explained, "When you name a goblin, they gain a small amount of power from you and evolve. But if you name a powerful beast like a dragon, they gain power from you and their power, making a copy and giving it to you. However, not all monsters do that—only rank A monsters and higher."

Mikami nodded, "Oh, so what kind of monster are you?"

The system replied, "Oh, don't ask that question."

Mikami said, "Oh, okay then. We're still in the middle of nowhere. Where should I find a village or something?"

The system replied, "You are close to a nearby city called Uromo City, the city of humans. Just head straight ahead. You'll see a pathway that will lead you to Uromo City."

Mikami responded, "Oh, right. Thanks. Let's go."
