EMPTINESS AND BOREDOM ran energetically in her body, staring at the ground, Charlotte lifelessly blinked.

The get-together Mason hosted inside him room was as lively, Charlotte just wasn't feeling the same. It seemed that she was still bothered from the hate comments, despite the comfort she was given.

Mason, Tristan, and Maddy were outside doing a TikTok mocking the prequel events of Bruce's death in the movie. Brady put on a movie, but Charlotte was too uninterested she dozed off half of the time. Whilst Jacob and Becca were actually paying attention to the movie, Miguel was torn by Charlotte not being as cheerful as usual.

He sat across from her in the room, observing her facial expressions every second. Charlotte got up, and decided to head outside, as well to see what were Mason, Tristan, and Maddy were up to. Miguel stood up, and followed Charlotte to the front door. Becca and Jacob noticed their simultaneous actions, and gave each other a look.

Before Charlotte twisted the doorknob, Miguel called her name out. "Charlotte!" he panted.

"Yes?"

"Are you alright?" He queried.

"Why wouldn't I be?"

He stuttered, "Well... You didn't look fine. And I was.. concerned."

Her eyes widened at his concern, "Oh no, I was just bored. The movie was not to my interest." She laughed.

"Ah, I see." Miguel said.

"That's great, though! I really thought that you weren't fine." He added, explaining.

"Thank you for the concern, Miguel." Charlotte smiled at him.

"So, why are you heading out?"

"Oh, I just wanted to see what they were up to. It must be more entertaining than the movie if they keep laughing about it loudly." She joked.

"Would you mind if I come?" Miguel asked.

Charlotte shook her head, "Not at all."

They head out, and instantly feel the glacial vibrance of the weather. Charlotte rubbed her arms, underestimating the cold ambience. Charlotte and Miguel saw three of their friends walking back to the house.

"You guys finished already?" She asked them.

Mason noisily giggled whilst he weakly walked, because of how hard he was laughing. Thankfully, the house was isolated from other homes, so it would be unlikely that the neighborhood could hear him cackling.

"Yeah, why are you two out?" Maddy asked back.

Charlotte had no sense of going out, now that her friends finished their video, but before she could explain, Miguel spoke up.

"We were gonna go out for a walk." He blurted out.

Mason gave him a sarcastic dirty look, as he walked through him, playfully hitting his shoulder.

"Alright, you two have fun." Mason uttered in a singsong manner. It almost felt like he was teasing Miguel.

"Why'd you say that?" Charlotte snicked as she saw the three of her friends get back inside the house.

Miguel smirked, holding his fingertips up to his lips. "Maybe I just wanted to spend time with you." He tilted his head.

"That is very sweet of you, Mora." She chuckled, keeping her palms glued to her arms, in attempt to sustain her warmth.

Miguel chuckled hearing her laugh, he shrugged his shoulders, and muttered, "Keep dreaming, I just wanted to really go for a walk."

He then noticed how Charlotte looked like she was shivering, and that she was only wearing a sweatshirt in the chilly atmosphere.

"Are you cold?"

"Just a little, I'm fine."

There wasn't a second wasted, as Miguel took his jacket off, and wrapped it over Charlotte.

"Wouldn't want you to freeze to death." He said.

She couldn't help but widely smile at his gesture. "Thank you."

"No problem."

Miguel and Charlotte walked along the pavement of the neighborhood, seeing different types of houses. Charlotte noticed a big structure from the side, beaming a powerful light, she stood on a bench, and saw the entire ocean view. The area was on a high plateau, so some would see the view from certain areas.

Miguel followed her, and did the same.

It was ethereal. An enormous light house gleamed alone amidst the darkness, and shared its shimmer with the waters, highlighting the beauty of its every aspect. Charlotte admired the view. Being a girl from a bustling city, she was used to seeing headlights and illuminating billboards, but this was something uncommon for her.

She deeply breathed, coming into a realization. "After a few months, we're gonna go back to our normal lives, and say goodbye to this, again."

They both remembered that the production and managers have come into an agreement and decided to let the actors fly back to their respective hometowns, and return when it's time for promoting the movie.

"After we shoot the movie." Miguel affirmed.

"Yeah." Charlotte nodded.

She took the moment of silence to acknowledge the beauty of the view in front of her. "It's so breathtaking, isn't it?"

Miguel smiled, turning his head away from the ocean. He gazed at Charlotte in awe.

"It sure is." He grinned.

" He grinned
