"BECAUSE..." He started, unable to freely express his dilemma. Although his feelings were clear, he couldn't bring himself to truthfully confess.

"We used to be as close as you are with Tristan." Miguel conveyed. That's not exactly what Miguel wanted to say, but it was close enough. Charlotte looked at him with confusion, carefully juggling her thoughts.

"Ever since that time—you became so distant from me." He sighed, frustrated from the complexity of his feelings. Along the monologue he fabricated in his head, Miguel wished that Charlotte would benevolently handle the situation, taken that he mentioned the peculiar occurrence that changed both of their brain chemistries.

Miguel studied her, seeing how soft Charlotte's expression became. "Why?" He asked, a slight crack of sadness in his voice was perceived.

The blooming actors stared at each other, knowing in their longing hearts that they cared each other. It was very obvious, even their closest friends could see that. The problem was, Miguel and Charlotte themselves, just didn't have the courage to own up to their feelings.

She sighed, feeling a piece of her hair fall on her face. With subtle movement, Charlotte daintily flicked her head to the side, tying her brows together as she quietly sighed. "I tried getting over it—Because I figured that I overreacted over a mere kiss." Charlotte muttered.

"Tristan helped me realize that."

Miguel was about to gag at the mention of Tristan, however he stopped himself when he heard Charlotte finish her sentence.

Charlotte then remembered a distinct conversation she had with her mentioned friend; Tristan's sermons blared through her ears, reaching her from the shallow depths of her memories.
