"I NEED CHEMISTRY!" Scott, the director of the movie, yelled at the set

"I NEED CHEMISTRY!" Scott, the director of the movie, yelled at the set. He looked for the megaphone set on one of the big speakers, and angrily took it with his shaking hands.

"Back then, you two worked well together. We didn't need to reshoot scenes with the both of you for so long!" Scott complained.

"What is with you, Charlotte and Miguel?" He groaned, massaging his forehead, due to the distress the two stars are causing him.

They've tried to shoot a flashback scene several times, and they haven't met Scott's usual standards to the romance they usually illuminate.

"Go back, and work on that scene. We'll shoot Maddy's first." He sighed, resting himself onto his elevated chair.

A couple days has passed since the incident, and Charlotte still couldn't even act properly when she tried looking at Miguel, because she was too confused about the situation.

Charlotte walked to her assigned trailer, to rerun her lines, but she got held back by Miguel on her back.

"Hey." He tapped her shoulder. "You wanna talk?" Miguel offered.

"About our scene? Sure." Charlotte spoke with an expressionless demeanor, slightly shrugging Miguel's palm off her.

Miguel grew silent of her intimidating ambience towards him. "Maybe we could talk about what happened-" He said, however cut off by Charlotte.

"Let's go to your trailer, we'll practice there." She walked away.

It's going to take a lot of courage and time to get the old Charlotte back. Miguel thought.

Miguel shut the door to his trailer, whilst Charlotte sat on a vacant soft chair. "Okay, I want to talk about the other day." He went on, making a pause, and tried looking Charlotte in her eyes.

"The time we kissed." He said, making Charlotte grow weary.

"On screen?" She asked, acting dumbfoundedly, fully knowing what Miguel meant.

"Off screen."

"Oh."

Silent crept throughout the van, with nothing with Miguel's strong needful glare at Charlotte altering her senses.

She sighed, trying to change the subject, not wanting to talk about it. "I think you could put your arm around me during the scene, so Scott would feel some sort chemistry from us, don't you think?" She firmly asked, not showing any sign of emotion on her face.

Miguel bit his inner lip, saddened. "I think it's the reason you're acting so differently towards me." He muttered.

"You could say that. Actually, no. You should say that." Charlotte looked at him with a rigid expression, knitting her brows in grief.

"I'm sorry."

"Why?"

Softly setting his palms on Charlotte's shoulders, Miguel said, "I kissed you, without permission, and I thought it'd be fine with you, because we did it before."

"Can we run lines now?" She looked at him blankly.

"I just want us back."

Miguel shook his head, looking down on the ground. "I want you back."

"The cheerful, sweet, bright Charlotte." He spoke, the desperation in his eyes flaunting itself.

The girl before him shook his hands off her, yelling her distress out. "It'll never be fine, Miguel! That was my first kiss, too." Charlotte heavily breathed after every other word.

Charlotte could feel the warm tears forming in her eyes, falling down onto her cheeks. As she simultaneously wept and spoke, her cheeks were colored to a light crimson red shade.

"And as much as I'm ashamed to say it out loud, I didn't want my first kiss to be built off of nothing. I wanted it to be the one I'll be with for the rest of my life." She exclaimed through her sorrow.

Miguel tried to calm Charlotte down, holding her hands together. "You don't seem to understand. I meant that-"

"What is there to understand? I was so stupid for kissing you back." Charlotte shook her hands away from Miguel, interrupting him.

"Charlotte, wait."

"I need to run lines, not this."

"Don't you wanna straighten things out?"

"I want to work on shooting the scene." She argued, stomping out of his trailer.
