"Damn it. That bastard"

Zarathorak the Bloodweaver : Zarathorak the Bloodweaver is a fearsome Blood Dragon known for its mastery of dark and ancient blood magic. Its scales are a deep, rich crimson, almost appearing to be soaked in blood, with veins of dark energy pulsating visibly beneath the surface. Glowing runes, inscribed in a language lost to time, adorn its scales, enhancing its formidable presence.

This dragon possesses the ability to manipulate blood itself, using it both as a weapon and a source of power. Its breath unleashes torrents of dark crimson energy that can drain life from its enemies or empower its own attacks. Zarathorak is a cunning and strategic fighter, often using its blood magic to ensnare and weaken opponents before delivering devastating strikes.

Despite its sinister reputation, Zarathorak is not purely malevolent; it has been known to forge alliances with those who can offer it knowledge or artifacts of ancient power. However, crossing paths with Zarathorak is always a perilous endeavor, as its mastery of blood magic makes it one of the most formidable adversaries in the skies.

"What? Did something between you two?" Ingi questioned

"Uhh.. Not really, but.. Me and the rest are not in good terms you see"

"Oh, jeez. What happened?"

Fafnir then explained to Ingi what's the reason as to why the Order of 10 Eternal Flames has fallen apart.

"So you guys were part of Order of 10 Eternal Flames, huh?"

"Yes, Father. After your passing, we had to think of a way to maintain the balance in Norkiya using our might, the ancient dragons. But that thing happened.."

Order of 10 Eternal Flames : The Order of 10 Eternal Flames is a council of ten ancient dragons, revered across the realms for their mastery over their magicores and their commitment to maintaining balance and order in the world of Norkiya. For centuries, these ten dragons had stood together, guardians of balance and wisdom. But when the black dragon has awakened its power, everything changed.

The event when Fafnir decided to quit being one of Order of 10 Eternal Flames

Ignisar the Flamebearer, the council's fiery voice, was the first to voice concern. "How can we trust this awakened state of his? Its power eclipses ours. It threatens our legacy and the balance of this world!"

Others nodded in agreement, their eyes reflecting both awe and jealousy as they watched the black dragon effortlessly command elements that seemed beyond their grasp.

Frostfang the Icebound, usually the voice of reason, urged caution. "Perhaps we can learn from the black dragon," she suggested, hoping to ease tensions. But her words fell on deaf ears hardened by envy and fear of losing their status. "Silence, Frostfang!" Zarathorak the Bloodweaver roared.

Secret meetings became commonplace. Zephyrion the Tempest and others except Frostfang the Icebound, plotted behind the scenes, fearing the black dragon's dominance would overshadow their own influence within the world of Norkiya, especially the council.

Finally, in a moment of heated debate, Zephyrion the Tempest challenged the black dragon to prove its worth. The ensuing clash shook the very foundation of their councel, but in the end, the black dragon emerged victorious, its power undeniable.

In the end, with a solemn gaze that betrayed a mixture of sadness and disappointment, the black dragon withdrew from the council, leaving behind a fractured assembly haunted by the consequences of their envy and mistrust.

Going back to the present event

"I must talk to them for this to get rectified" Ingi shook his head with disappointment

"It's fine, Father."

"Father" Fafnir added

"Hmm?"

"Forgive my inquiry, Father" Fafnir began, "but how do you manage to maintain your human guise so effortlessly? I have seen others including me struggle maintaining that for an hour and so"

Ingi regarded Fafnir with a patient smile, Ingi's eyes reflecting the wisdom of ages past. "It is a matter of understanding the concept of you being in this form" his voice a soft cadence that echoed through the room. "Understanding the nuances of human existence—their thoughts, emotions, and mannerisms—is essential. It allows me to blend seamlessly into their world."

As they spoke, a gentle breeze swept through the room carrying with it the scent of distant smokes coming from the busy land of Asnor. "I see.. I remember that you had a human partner as well and maybe, that's the reason as to why you're good at it." Ingi's smile deepened, a flicker of memory dancing in his head. "Yeah. Who knows?"

Ingi inclined his head in gratitude, a gesture that bridged the gap between their ancient lineage and their current guise. "It was a privilege to observe and learn from humans," Ingi admitted, his voice tinged with a hint of nostalgia for the experiences amere human gave him "Their perspectives and experiences offer valuable insights into our own existence."

As the echoes of their conversation faded, I slowly regained my consciousness, the room around me seemed shrouded in a haze of confusion. Through half-lidded eyes, I struggled to focus, the surroundings gradually coming into view. "Gu-guys?"

"You're awake, Craig" Ingi breathed with relief.

Fafnir couldn't contain the grin that spread across his face. "We were starting to think you were going to sleep through the entire season," he teased lightly, his tone belying the worry that had gripped him.

I managed a faint chuckle, though it was clear that even the smallest movement caused me discomfort. "I guess I couldn't leave you two to get into trouble without me," I replied hoarsely, my attempt at humor drawing a mixture of laughter and tears from Fafnir and Ingi.

The room seemed to exhale a collective sigh of relief as the tension that had weighed heavily upon them regarding me began to dissipate. Outside, the distant murmur of the city carried on, oblivious to the quiet miracle unfolding within the walls of current sanctuary.

"We were so worried," Fafnir admitted, his voice wavering as he squeezed my hand tightly. "You scared us."

My gaze softened, filled with unspoken gratitude and understanding. "I'm sorry," I murmured sincerely, my voice laced with remorse. "But I'm here now."

"btw... where are we?" I managed to croak, my eyes searching the familiar yet unfamiliar surroundings.

Fafnir 'seyes softened, a smile of relief gracing his lips. "You're in a room near the Guild of Asnor," he replied gently, "The land of adventurers."

I took a moment to process the information, my brow furrowing slightly as memories slowly trickled back. "Asnor... the Guild," I murmured, piecing together fragments of recent events.

"You collapsed after you healed him," Ingi explained, "We've been tending to you ever since."

"Asnor.. Do you mean one of the continents of Norkiya?" My curiosity made me awake. "Yes" fafnir replied
