After a pretty boring start to the Imola grand prix, the ending was sort of interesting. Lando was catching Max and bought the gap to .7 seconds. Sitting in the F1 hospitality balcony, I took some notes for the video I would create with Jolyon later in the week. I wrote down what some of the teams could do differently. 30 minutes after the race ended, I headed down into the paddock to go to the press conference. Walking through I found Max walking from the media pen to the press room. 

"Hey Max, congrats on your win!" I smiled at him when he turned to thank me. 

"Thank you! Are you heading to the conference?" He was walking with his press officer and I stepped into line with them, walking next to them. 

"Yep! You had a good race, huh?" 

"Yea, a little on the edge there at the end, but we make it work." I laughed before we reached the press room and we split into the two sections of the room. I got there fairly early so I sat next to a Sky Sports journalist in the front row. 

The door opened again and Lando, Lewis and their pr officers walked in all talking to each other. When Lewis and Lando separated from the others to sit on the white couch, Lando looked up and we made eye contact. I smiled at him and gave him a quiet congratulations. He smiled and nodded subtly before looking at the other drivers as they were getting introduced. 

Throughout the press conference, the drivers all answered their best to all the questions thrown their way. I struggled to focus though because all I could think about was how good Lando looked post-race. Thank God I record all the conferences.

After the conference, I don't wait to leave and get my recording and notes into the F1TV Google Drive. Seeing as that was the last thing I needed to do today, I pack up my stuff and carry my backpack out of the building, stepping onto the paddock. Taking out my phone, I see a text message from Lando at the top.
