The beeping of machines continues its relentless rhythm, a reminder of the fragile line between life and death. My cat, vigilant as ever, sits perched at the edge of my bed. The tension in the room is palpable as my friends and classmates gather outside, their voices a blend of worry and determination.

The Cat's Vigil

Days pass, and my cat maintains its watch. It hisses and swats at anyone who tries to get too close, its instincts telling it to protect me. But slowly, ever so slowly, it starts to allow them closer.

Gradual Trust

Uraraka: (Softly) "Hey there, kitty. We just want to see him. We won't hurt him, I promise." The cat's ears twitch, but it doesn't hiss. Instead, it watches her with cautious eyes as she steps a little closer. She stops a few feet from the bed, waiting for any sign of aggression. The cat remains still, its tail flicking back and forth. Iida: (Encouragingly) "It's okay. We're his friends. We just want to help." The cat turns its gaze to Iida, its eyes narrowing slightly. It lets out a low, warning growl, making it clear that they shouldn't push their luck. Kirishima: (Whispering) "It's letting us get closer. That's a good sign, right?" Momo: (Nodding) "We need to be patient. This is a delicate situation."

Small Steps

The class begins to take turns approaching, speaking softly and moving slowly. Each day, they gain a little more ground, the cat's trust growing inch by inch. Bakugo: (Kneeling down, speaking softly) "Hey, Deku. I'm here. You've gotta wake up, damn it. We need you." The cat watches him intently, but it doesn't move to attack. Instead, it shifts slightly, as if acknowledging his presence. Todoroki: (Quietly) "We're not giving up on you. You're stronger than this, Izuku." The cat's eyes flick to Todoroki, and for a moment, they seem to understand each other. The bond of protectors, united by their concern for the boy lying unconscious on the bed.

Boundaries and Warnings

One day, Uraraka steps a little too close, her hand reaching out to touch my arm. The cat hisses loudly, its fur standing on end. She pulls back immediately, her eyes wide with shock. Uraraka: (Apologetically) "I'm sorry. I didn't mean to scare you." The cat calms down, resuming its vigilant watch. It has set clear boundaries, and the class learns to respect them. They inch closer with each visit, speaking to me and to the cat, building a fragile bridge of trust.

The Healing Process

All Might: (Entering the room, his presence calming) "Young Midoriya, your friends are here for you. We're all here for you." He speaks with a gentle authority, and the cat seems to sense his intentions. It doesn't react aggressively, allowing All Might to stand by the bed. All Might: (Softly) "You've always been strong. Stronger than anyone I know. Fight your way back to us, my boy." The cat relaxes slightly, its purring a soft hum in the background. It starts to accept the presence of the visitors, though it remains ever watchful, ready to defend its charge if necessary.

Building a Bridge

Days turn into weeks, and the class continues their vigil. They bring stories, pictures, and mementos, filling the room with reminders of happier times. The cat, though still cautious, allows them closer and closer, sensing their genuine care and love for me. Uraraka: (Holding a photo) "Remember this, Deku? The sports festival? You were amazing." Bakugo: (Grumbling but with a hint of fondness) "Yeah, you idiot. You've always been amazing." The room becomes a sanctuary of hope and healing, their voices a constant reminder of the world waiting for me outside the darkness. And through it all, my cat remains, a steadfast guardian of my fragile existence.

The Edge of Awakening

Inside my mind, the battle continues. The hunger, the fear, the pain—they are relentless. But the voices of my friends, the presence of my cat, they begin to break through the darkness. The memories of a time before the abyss grow stronger, pulling me back towards the light. Will I emerge from the coma, or will the darkness claim me forever? The answer lies in the strength of the bonds I share with those who refuse to give up on me, and the unwavering vigilance of my feline protector.
