Parted Too Soon: Taegyu Fanfic

A bit of a longer chapter in my opinion, do you guys prefer long chapters or short chapters when it comes to fanfics?

He let out a shallow breath, the boy he loved all those years ago whom he promised to marry. His first love, his first kiss. He meets again, at a wedding. Taehyun smiled,

'How ironic..' 

"Let's go talk to him!" Huening Kai suggested as he quickly got up from his seat. Taehyun seized him by the wrist.

Kai sat back down. "Not now...later, the wedding hasn't begun yet it would be awkward."

That wasn't why Taehyun had stopped Huening Kai. It wasn't because he was feeling shy, well not entirely the reason at least. The truth was that their parents had a history together, they were former business partners. They had a falling out and the boys were separated due to their parents wishes. Of course Huening Kai had no idea and just thought he had moved away, so Taehyun's heart burned a bit more when seeing him. 

He observed their table a bit longer noticing who he was sitting with, he spotted his older brother Yeonjun and his older sister Chaewon. Luckily his parents weren't there so he wouldn't have to worry about being recognized by them and or their parents seeing each other.

"We can talk to them when it's time to dance."

Kai rolled his eyes. "That long."

'I wonder what happened between them for them to stop talking.' Taehyun thought to himself as he thought about how close their parents once were.

"Mn."

After some time passed both the grooms Namjoon and Jin made their grand entrance. Jin was wearing the same blazer, tie, and pants as Namjoon but this time in grey. He wasn't wearing any earrings but he was wearing the same watch as Namjoon. 

Namjoon delivered his speech,  "Jin I have loved you since I have met you, I am so grateful that you have come into my life. Those years together in university, the day we met during the freshman activity festival. I still remember the first day I met your parents and was so nervous and excited." He paused as he wiped away some tears.

The whole venue watched in anticipation and excitement, Taehyun's eyes grew hot with tears. He had been with them through their whole relationship, seeing them finally get married after so long was like a dream.

 "I am so happy I got to know you and after a long 7 years of dating I am so excited and thankful to be able to call you my husband. Kim Seokjin will you marry me?" 

Namjoon kneeled with the ring box opened awaiting Jin's answer. Jin covered his mouth and cried some happy tears before nodding, "I do!"

Namjoon and Jin exchanged wedding rings and everyone in the venue started to clap and cheer. The MC of the wedding Soobin urged, "EVERYONE MAKE SOME NOISE FOR THIS BEAUTIFUL COUPLE WHO ARE NOW NEWLY WEDS WOOOOOO!!!!"

Everyone's cheers grew louder as they all got up to clap. They both bowed and their parents came to hug them and take pictures. After the parents and siblings were done taking pictures it was now the cousins, aunts, and uncles turns. After that it was their friends turn. 

Taehyun, Huening Kai and their parents went in the line together and took a picture together. 

"Congratulations hyungs I wish the best for you guys and your marriage." They said while exchanging hugs with the both of them.

"Once we get settled in our new house I would love to have you both over." Jin suggested.

Kai thanked, "Of course hyung we would love to come over, thank you so much."
