What if....Max finally wakes up from Coma and her and Lucas get down and dirty together? (Light angst and Smut)

Lucas hurries inside of the hospital, a smile being filled on his face as he does. Running over to the elevator and immediately spamming the sixth floor - the floor he knows Max is on.

Max is finally awake from her Coma, they don't know why it took days after Eleven finally killed Vecna but she is finally awake, after so long she is finally awake and Lucas can't wait to see her, to hug her, to hold her and never let her go again. To be a better man for her.

He taps his foot hard against the ground of the elevator as it rides up, him impatiently leaving out of the doors as soon as he can fit through them when they open, running to the hospital room where everyone else is in.

The doctor examines Max's eyes, her being seated on the bed with all of her bone casts off from her bones all being healed from being in the hospital for a long time.

"Do you think her sight will ever return?" Susan questions.

"I'm honestly not sure, we have never seen anything like this before." The doctor replies. "We can do more tests and treatments, but we honestly cannot say for certain if her sight will return or not. I'm sorry."

Everyone goes silent, looking down in with heavy and small sighs leaving them, Susan and Karen both putting their hands on Max's shoulders in comfort.

"It's okay, truly." Max stands up, Mike and Eleven holding their hands out for her, guiding her up. "It could be worse, my bones could be broken too or I couldn't even be alive. I'm happy that I'm here."

"I will try everything however." The doctor states. "There are many of eye tests and treatments that have worked, I don't want to get your hopes up but I will promise you we will try each and every one. I am doing this free of charge too."

"Thank you doctor." Susan says. "I...I honestly have no work right now from just being here all the time."

"I understand Misses Mayfield, even if you did work I wouldn't want to charge you for this. You and your daughter have been through so much to worry about medical bills on top of that." The doctor says. "We will start more tests and treatments next week. For now it's best for her to just get rest."

"Okay—"

They all look towards the door when it bust open, Lucas staring at Max with complete wide eyes.

"She woke up baby!" Dustin exclaims happily.

Lucas immediately goes over to Max and hugs her tightly, Max standing there frozen for a moment. Lucas brings her in as tightly as possible, Max's hands soon going to his back. "Oh my god, you're awake. You're finally here."

Max goes to pull away, her hands being on his chest. "Why weren't...why weren't you here like everyone else when I woke?"

"I'm sorry the dumb principal was holding me up in his office when I got the news." Lucas replies. "Me and some cheerleaders got in trouble for skipping—"

"Cheerleaders?" Max interrupts.

"Yeah."

Max just slowly nods her head, her going to sit back down on the bed. "Well...sorry to interrupt that."

"No no you didn't interrupt anything." Lucas takes her hands while crouching down in front of her. "Hell I'm glad I was interrupted."

"Interrupted from doing what?"
