Jeff

The ballroom was exquisitely and elegantly decorated. Crystal chandeliers hung from the ceiling, softly illuminating the room with a warm and welcoming glow. The walls were adorned with rich-colored tapestries depicting scenes of ancient battles and festivities, telling stories of times past. The polished marble floor reflected the lights, creating a dreamy effect that made the entire hall look like something out of a fairy tale. The tables, covered with silk tablecloths, were adorned with exquisite floral arrangements that filled the air with an intoxicating aroma.

Everyone present was dancing and congratulating Charlie, who, with Babe always by his side, radiated happiness. I was deeply glad to see how well they got along; their camaraderie was evident and contagious to everyone present.

I hurried to find Way and Dean, as they were my guests. Way was visibly annoyed because I had invited Dean. "He's too enthusiastic and wears me out," he complained. "Besides, I'll have to look after him all night."

"Jeff, I asked you to invite me so you could introduce me to your brother Charlie, not to babysit," Way said, flashing a sweet smile for those watching from the outside.

"From the beginning, he dreamed of coming to the north, Way. He has been very kind to me," I replied, trying to calm him down.

Way snorted, clearly unconvinced. "Fine, but you also have to introduce me to Pete. If I ask Alan or, worse yet, Babe, they'll make fun of me," he said with a pout that almost made me laugh.

"Pete too?" I asked, confused. "I thought you liked Charlie."

"Jeff, you're too innocent to understand. Charlie will be a king. Pete is already a king. I'm a gem; it's obvious I should be part of royalty, otherwise, it would be a waste. And well, it doesn't hurt to have options," Way replied with a mischievous smile.

"Innocent? You told me I was cold!" I exclaimed. "What about the legends of alphas and omegas you believe in?" I asked, raising an eyebrow.

"Jeff, it's impossible not to find the scent of a future king intoxicating, especially if they're handsome," Way said with a cheeky tone that left me surprised.

"Oh, Jeff! How have you been? You look even cuter and more radiant than before," Pete approached with a warm and tender smile.

"Oh, your highness," I greeted him with a slight bow.

"For you, it's Pete, Jeff. Just Pete," he said softly. I smiled in response, before feeling the subtle but strong nudge from Way, who, when I turned, was smiling innocently.

"Pete, this is my best friend from the south, his name is Way Patharapol."

"It's a pleasure, your highness," Way bowed slightly, using his sweetest tone while fluttering his eyelashes beautifully. Way never... never ceased to amaze me.

"Jeff, shall we dance?" Alan's voice pulled me out of my thoughts, and I nodded excitedly. Alan had been talking to Charlie while I was looking for Way and Dean. Dean, for his part, seemed enchanted by Winner.

The dance was going better than ever. The hall was filled with laughter and music, and the atmosphere was magical. The soft and melodious music of the orchestra filled the hall, enveloping everyone in an atmosphere of joy and celebration.

Everything was going well until Alan, with a mischievous smile, asked me for a kiss for every step I took. My heart raced, and in an instant, as we joked, the rest of the party began to fade into the background. I could see how his dark and intense gaze settled on my lips. I... I wanted to kiss him too. But my reality check was abrupt when I heard Bank's voice.
