An Unknown Warmth ... y/n(fem) x Gepard Landau

Everything's alright

Since you felt like you and Sampo had a better connection, you decided you would let him sleep in the bed with you. 

It was getting darker out and Sampo was in the bathroom changing while you were getting his side of the bed ready. You already don't like sleeping under sheets so you sleep under a blanket, so you grabbed the fluffy blanket that was originally on the bed and put it there ready for Sampo to go under. 

You were still trying to figure out what was happening that made Sampo go to the hotel and need to stay the night, but you were quickly taken away from your thoughts when you heard a knock at the door. 

You walked over and opened it to see your friend and...and Gepard? You looked up at him blushing while being a bit confused. He looked away also blushing, and then your friend spoke up. "Hey, sorry for bothering you but Gepard said that he's looking for that Sampo guy." Oh no.

You looked up at Gepard as he started to talk. "We think he ran away in this area and coincidentally you met Sampo and are staying here. Serval told me that." He added the last part quickly. "Oh, heh heh, well I haven't run into him or anything. I've been trying to take the rest of the day for myself and earlier when I went out for something I didn't run into him or see him or anything." Your voice sounded a bit nervous, and you were really hoping that Sampo would stay in the bathroom. 

"Hm, well thank you." He said in a more serious tone. You held back a giggle but couldn't help but smile and look at him dreamily. When he left his thoughts and noticed the look in your eyes he stopped his cute thinking face and blushed even more. "Well, enjoy the rest of your alone time." Your friend said. Gepard started to leave as your friend gave you a hug. 

After the two were gone, you closed the door and let out a heavy sigh. "Phew, thanks y/n." Sampo said as he walked out. It seemed he had the door slightly open to hear and see what was happening. "Ok, what did you do?" He just mischievously smiled at you with a wink as he said, "I'm not telling you~" You just rolled your eyes giving up early as you locked the door. 

"It's impossible to get anything out of you, hm?" You said as you went under your blanket while Sampo did the same. "Hmm, maybe tickling me could get it out." The two of you looked at each other and burst out laughing. "Haha, I think I'd rather not." You said while grabbing a stuffed animal. He then poked you in the side and you flinched back. "Hee hee." You couldn't help but smile at his stupid laugh, it was truly iconic. 

You laid back onto the bed, letting your head sink into the pillow as you let out a deep breath. You looked over to see Sampo smiling at you as his eyes twinkled in the light. You smiled back at him from the sight, and he leaned over to kiss you on the cheek, while winking at you and saying, "Thanks for everything, best friend." You just giggled and scooted a bit closer to him. "You're welcome Sampo." The two of you laid there for a moment before you spoke again.

"Am I really your best friend?" Sampo hummed as he looked up at the ceiling along with you. "Yeah. Maybe truly the best one." "Wow. You're right under Brian for me. Though of course you're my best guy friend." "Hm, that's nice." You weren't sure if your conversation made much sense, but the two of you were just tired. 

You watched him as his eyes closed softly, and yours started to feel heavy too. You followed suit, and within less than a few minutes you fell asleep.

You woke up the next morning to see Sampo gone. You felt a little disappointed, wanting to have drank some coffee while chatting a bit in the morning and to say goodbye, but you were still happy from the time you spent with him. 

A new best friend. You thought to yourself as you left your room. Your friend was also ready and came over to you. "Hey! So how was your time to yourself yesterday?" "Wonderful." You said with a warm smile. Your friend just chuckled as she looped her arm through yours, and she continued to talk to you about the plans for the day. 

"So I was going to ask you if you wanted to check with Serval and see if you could get some of Gepard's schedule." Your friend said as she smirked at you. "What? Why?" You said quickly as you started to feel your face warm. 

"Come on, you need to go out on a date with him." She said playfully. Your face grew hotter, "I don't know about dates! I've never been on one!" "Haha, and I'm sure he hasn't either. It'll be fine, but I want him to ask you." She said. You could tell she really cared, so you just smiled at her shaking your head a little. "Alright, fine." 

Your friend smiled brightly at you with a victorious "Yay!" As she rushed you out of the hotel.
