noel's body was very close to the girl as he taught her the rudiments, and he cannot help but savor her smell which was like heaven. i love this girl! he thought. he will say that to her soon.
meanwhile, delle tried hard to pull back the bow-string with the arrow in it and can only do it halfway. she failed to pull it completely back. he was right, she guessed. she must do some exercises that will build muscles on both her arms.
"ok, i give up, boy! that consumed my energy for this day!," delle said between huffs. "now i guess i must work-out on my dad's gym before i can play that. thank you, boy! what's your name, by the way?"
"i'm noel, ma'am. you're very welcome. gonna see you here when you get your muscle!" he was quite glad of seeing her again.
"call me delle, noel! oh, i forgot! can you help with my school project? i must know who designed this church, and also its brief history. please? for our school project?"
he actually saw both sincerity and naughtiness in that smile. what can he say?
"why, of course, delle! can we begin now? father avendano will not be due till tomorrow. by then, i will be working."
"that's great! where do we begin, noel?"
"hmmm... in father avendano's office?"
and from then on, they were inseparable. she practiced archery with him. he escorted her when he can, whereever she wanted to go.
they said, heaven's match is earth.
noel found out it was true.
