Faye Malisorn's POV
After receiving the advice from Lux and the teasing from Pam and Tanya, I find myself at an art supplies store, standing in front of an array of canvases and tubes of paint.
My heart races slightly as I browse through the various colors and supplies, each one a potential tool to create something special for our home date.
With a deep breath, I start picking out the supplies I need, trying to pick colors that suit her taste.
I pick up a few canvases, making sure I have enough for both of us to work on. I also grab some brushes and tubes of oil paint, as I know Yoko loves working with those.
I can't help but smile, imagining the look of delight on her face when she sees what I have planned.
I can practically see the scene already—the two of us side by side, brushes in hand, creating something beautiful and unique together.
With all my purchases in hand, I head towards the counter to pay, a mix of excitement and nerves coursing through me.
I can't wait to get home and start setting up for our special date night.
I walk through the parking lot towards my car, and carefully load the supplies into the trunk before climbing into the driver's seat.
As I buckle my seatbelt, I take a moment to collect myself before starting the engine and driving off towards my house.
I arrive at my house, my heart beating faster with excitement. Without wasting a moment, I hurry through the door and quickly begin setting everything up.
First, I light the candles, their soft glow casting a warm and inviting atmosphere throughout the room.
Next, I plug in the speakers and put on some soft, romantic music, creating a perfect background ambiance.
I move on to the food, preparing a few of Yoko's favorite snacks, making sure they look appealing and arranged nicely on plates.
As I finish laying out the food, I suddenly realize that I've forgotten one crucial element.
Flowers! How could I forget?
I briefly consider running to the nearest florist, but remember that it's pretty late and most flower shops are probably closed by now.
I smack my forehead, mentally cursing myself for forgetting such an important touch.
In that moment, I immediately pull out my phone and dial Pam's number, hoping she can save the day.
As Pam picks up, I quickly explain the situation.
"Pam, I need your help. I forgot the flowers for my date, and it's almost time for Yoko to arrive. Can you please help me out?"
"Faye, it's late," she says apologetically. "Most flower shops are closed at this hour. I don't think you'll be able to find any open ones."
A wave of frustration washes over me, and I let out a sigh.
"Damn it," I mutter, running a hand through my hair. "What should I do?"
Pam ponders the situation for a moment before suggesting something unexpected.
"Well... if you really need flowers," she says, her tone hesitant but earnest, "Why don't you just pick some from a neighbor's garden? No one will notice a few missing flowers, right?"
I scoff at Pam's suggestion, shaking my head firmly. "There's absolutely no way I'm doing that."
"Well, if you're not going to take my suggestion, then I guess you won't have any flowers for your date then."
