Faye Malisorn's POV

After months of officially being together, our relationship continued to grow and strengthen.

Yoko and I decided to keep our relationship private for now. It wasn't that we were ashamed or afraid, but rather, we wanted to relish this time where our love remains a special secret between just the two of us and those closest to us.

We continued to work together, and things appeared the same as before. Both of us are content with having this private space away from the spotlight and judgement of the public.

"Oi, Faye," Pam says, breaking the silence. "Are you ever going to tell us what happened that night with Yoko?"

I startle slightly, pulled out from my reverie. I had hoped that Pam's curiosity would have faded over time, but it seems she's as insistent as ever.

"I told you, not much happened," I reply evasively, hoping she'll let it go.

But Pam isn't one to back down.

"Don't give me that, I've known you for years, Faye. I know you're not telling us the whole story."

I fidget under her gaze, feeling the weight of her insistence. I know she's not going to let this go, but I'm not sure how much I can reveal without breaching the privacy of my relationship with Yoko.

I swallow, deciding to give her a half-truth. "Fine, there was a... moment between us that night."

Pam's eyes widen in surprise and excitement. "A moment?" she repeats, leaning in closer. "What kind of moment?"

I hesitate, my mind flashing back to the memory of that night. The moment of weakness, the heat, the kiss... It all feels so fresh in my mind.

"Just... a moment of vulnerability," I hedge, not revealing too much. "We both opened up about some things and... things got a bit intense."

"Intense how?" she probes. "Like, emotionally intense, or...?"

"Pam, if you don't drop it, I'm going to smack you," I warn her, half-joking, half-serious.

"Oh, come on, Faye. I can practically see the hearts in your eyes when you talk about that night. I bet it was a lot more than just emotionally intense."

I feel my cheeks heat up, and I roll my eyes at her. "I swear, you're the most nosy person I know. And there's nothing to see in my eyes, it's all your imagination."

Pam just smirks, clearly enjoying my flustered state. "Sure, sure. Then why are you blushing so hard right now?"

Just as I'm about to reply, Pam suddenly lets out a dramatic gasp, grabbing my arm to stop me.

"Oh my gosh, Faye! You look like a tomato right now! Admit it, something juicy happened that night!"

I try to compose myself, but her incessant teasing is making it difficult. I give her a stern look, trying to salvage what's left of my dignity.

"Paaaaaam! If you don't stop, I swear I'll tape your mouth shut."

Pam gives me a mock salute, still giggling to herself, and darts off before I can make good on my threat. I shake my head, both annoyed and exasperated by her antics, but secretly amused by her refusal to give up.

I pull out my phone and call Yoko, needing to hear her voice to calm the fluttering in my chest from Pam's relentless teasing. The phone rings a couple times before she picks up.

"Hey," I say, trying to sound casual but unable to hide the hint of tension in my voice.

"Hey Faye," Yoko replies, her voice warm and soothing. "Is everything okay?"
