THALIA NICHOLS didn't like to fight. She thought that things could be solved by talking them out, by hearing each side of the story and coming up with a conclusion right then and there. That's probably why she wanted to go to law school.
She wanted a good life for not only herself, but her family as well. She wanted everyone in her bubble to thrive and she would work hard to make any of that happen.
But moving to the Valley in a lower income town because your mother was on the brink of death wasn't helping the girl. She wanted her mother to get better. She wanted her mother to see her graduate and possibly travel the world.
Thalia had big dreams just like any other kid and she was going to make that happen.
But, before she could fully thrive and break out of that new kid shell, she would have to find solace in some of the kids who would give her the chance to be a kid.
