chapter 6 : competitiveness

When i realized that this was technically a competition i got revved up inside. This was technically only our first week in school but I've been training everyday testing out the different people in my classes quirks and now having the opportunity to show off what i can really do was excited to me. I got so excited that i even made a truce with the prince it makes sense after all we were paid together. After shaking hands with him the games really started. We got about ten minutes to discuss our strategy. Everyone dispersed into there groups me and princy found a quiet ally to chat in.

"You stay back I'll handle everything" he scoffed out at me. This comment infuriated me "absolutely not i came here to win on my terms we made an agreement now stand with it princy." He snapped back quickly. "STOP CALLING ME PRINCY YOU BRAT!" My hair was basically flying in the wind from the scream that's he let out then he composed himself. "Ok... I've got a plan but it's going to be interesting do you know how to use my quirk..." we finished discussing our plans and then we heard a buzzer go off indicating that it was time to go see who was going against who.

Was we all stood there as a group all might pulled out two balls "i declared that the first fight will be.." Rummaged around in the two boxes and pulled out two balls he finished his sentence. "These guys!" Gasps of worry then relief spread across the way but not for me he pulled out me and Bakugo's ball for team D and pulled out team A's i could feel tension in the air grow between Bakugo and Midoriya. All might continued with how the games were going to work. "Team A will be the hero's, Team D will be the villains." I turned to look at bakugo but his sites were set on Midoriya sending him daggers. But Midoriya looked back at him and gave the same look back. I could just see in Bakugo's face how it angered him so much more. Like cutting the tension with a knife all might processed on with the training exercises. "Bad guys, you can go on in a get set up. In five minutes the good guys will be let loose" before i could even think Bakugo grabbed his hand around my wrist and was dragging me inside.

Before we fully stepped through the door all might called out to us "young Kazumi, young Bakugo" we stop and Bakugo let go of my wrist i proceeded to rub it he had a tight grip on it. "The key to being successful in this challenge is to embody villainy. Think from the perspective of an evildoer." I nodded towards All Might taking all of his words to heart. "Ok sir!" He continued with one little last piece of info "If things go too far, I'll step in" we continue to walk through the building to go protect our nuclear missile it was apparently apart of that story he told us but i zoned out during it.

"So Bakugo what's your beef with Midoriya?? You seem to really have it out for him?" He snapped back at me and got in my face a little but didn't answer back my question. "Do you really think Deku had a quirk?" The question seemed so weird we saw him use it during our first day. "I mean yeah..? You saw how he threw that ball no normal person could do that without a quirk you know... but know that you mention it in can't copy his quirk it's like a dud" this peaked Bakugo's interest. "What do you mean a dud?" I continued to explain "Like for example i can you use your quirk right" he nods at me following along "But trying to use his quirk it just doesn't allow me, it's similar to like if i tried to use ojiro's quirk he's always had a tail and if i try to use it it doesn't allow me to activate it cause it's just another body part for him" bakugo followed along with what i was saying but was still confused. "I just don't get why i can't use his quirk when it doesn't physically effect his body its so strange.."

Before he can say anything back to me the buzzer went off sounding that the hero's have entered the building. Bakugo ran down stairs just like we talked about an i guard the missile while he goes down to get the first move on them while they're doing that I'm using the quirk cement. Since cementoss became a teacher at our school i picked up his quirk as well. I started putting up walls to ensure they could get to the missile.

I used the radio that they gave us to put in our ears. "Phase one done what don't want me to do now?" I heard a huff from the Uber side all he said was. "Bread." I knew what that meant but i know the others didn't before leaving i left a big mess around so they could even get close to the room with the missile without knocking me out cold. I wanted to win to win bad i need to prove myself growing up no one believed that i could be a hero cause i was a small girl but now is time to prove to myself and to others that im not to be underestimate.

As i make my way down the stairs i sneak around corners so they can't figure where i was. I turned the corner to see uraraka and as much as i didn't want to do this i knew i had to i pulled out my capture tape i snuck up behind her i was light on my feet while using jet swiftly got behind her and knocked her over with a kick i stuck the tape around her waist but she didn't go down with out a fight. She grunted as she hit the floor i felt guilty but i had to play the villain part as i was told to. Pushed me off and tried to use her quirk to use the rumble around us to create and explosion as a a distraction but I've seen her moves before i was in the same test as her. I used eraser head quirk to block her from using her powers but in the same end it made her super nauseated. I got my tape around her.

"Hey are you ok" i asked after finishing her "I'm sorry for being so brutal." Before i can finish she cut me off "Don't be sorry for doing the exercise like how you were told you blindsided me and i made me learn something important.." i looked at her with questioning eyes "it's a secret" i stuck out her tongue at me and i walked her over to a safer area since i don't no where Bakugo is and for all i know he's probably making a huge mess. I could hear explosion everywhere and at every turn it was coming from all throughout the building i was slightly concerned but nonetheless i preceded to look for them. Then i heard all might on the announcement "the game is a draw, please everyone exit the building" i went back to the place to go find Uraraka as confused as i was. I made my way out the door with her to see a Bakugo in tape and a Midoriya with a broken arm from his quirk.

And like that a draw was processed. All we could see is the tension and anger between the too i don't know what went down between them but Bakugo looked pissed to say the least he didn't even look my way. Bakugo was breathing heavily next to me i could see the frustration filling him and i can totally understand why he would be feeling that way before i can say anything All Might stepped in "Young Bakugo cool your jets let's go review your work, weather you win or lose you can always take something away from an experience like this. As long as your hoping to learn" 
And like that in silent ness we all walked to the board room.

"And the MVP of this exercise is Young Kazumi" I looked up in confusion. "Why me?" Asui stepped in saying. "How could you determine who did the best in the exercise if it was a draw?" I had the same exact question I looked up wondering how this could be All might respond. "Valid question, who can answer why i didn't pick anyone else"
Momo raised her hand, "I know sir! It's because Kazumi embrace what it was to be the character and didn't left her friendships hold her back!" She answered. All might seemed happy with this answer. "Correct." I was happy too know that i was important today and i received a few compliments from others from my work.

Once the day was over i saw Bakugo leaving and some of the other trying to stop him i walked out the door of our school and walked over to my bike i saw Bakugo and Midoriya speaking but i couldn't tell you what they said. I stood by my bike slowly watching every interaction as he walked away All Might chased after Bakugo they exchanged a few words. I started up my bike and got ready to leave for some reason just forgot to put the helmet i used earlier in the day for Bakugo away. Right when i saw i saw some tear fall down his face before i knew it i blurted out . "Hey Bakugo do you want a ride, I'll even wear the pink helmet since we never ended our truce." He up at me took the pink helmet and hopped on it i think he started to like it and i drove us home.
