Freedom's Price: Chapter Twenty

"Woo! Another raid! Awesome man, so quick too." Grey slapped an arm over Cedric's shoulder.

"Aw man, did you see Mani's face when she paid the bill? Ahahahah!" Cedric and Grey were two hours in, with an hour and a half or so left for the party.

"Oh man, I was crying. 'Well, I do believe I will be recovering from this for a while.' I think we went overboard dude."

"We might've, kinda sucks though - I feel like I gotta pay it back!"

"Don't booooother Scourgie, that lioness is super rich. Got loads of creds from her 'conquests', poor bastards."

"She makes them pay?"

"Never the first time. They always pay her to come back."

"Poor bastards indeed." Cedrix finished off another mug of beer, "Hey Grey you like, wanna go dance?"

"Dance? Man I'm not much of a dancer..."

"Come on, just the two of us. What are the other guys gonna do, butt in?"

"Nah they probably aren't. I'm too much woman for them to handle."

"You're not too much woman for me to handle, at least not yet." Cedric grinned. He was smashed.

"Oh yeah? Fine then, let's do it."

"Bet."

Grey finished off her mug and stood up, slightly swaying back and forth.

"Bet huh? Alright. Lead the way Scourgie."

"Shouldn't you be doing that?"

"You were the one asked - so you're the one who leads. Very. Simple. Logic." She slurred.

"Alright, fine."

Cedric rose from his seat and had to catch himself on the bar counter as his world spinned around and around.

"Whoa! Whoa..."

Grey let out a burst of laughter from her maw, "Hey man, do you need to go back to your room?"

"Nah nah nah, I'm good. I wanna dance with you."

"Okay then big guy, you're the boss."

Cedric sauntered to the dancing, and very drunk crowd. Some of them grabbing for the cages jokingly and causing general commotion. The electronic music was so loud blasting through the speakers that he could still hear it just fine over the raging crew.

"This. This right here is... A good spot." Cedric slurred. He made his way to an emptier spot on the floor, still having a few Korellei yet enough space for the duo to move about. He didn't recognize any of the EDM that was playing, but much of it was in low Korellei. However, he did recognize a few beats from his past. Not many, maybe only three songs. But there nonetheless - sang in low Korellei, instead of English.

"Picking this spot? Looks good. How you wanna do this?"

"What do you mean?"

"You said you wanted to dance together."

"Like, in the same spot yeah?"

"Dude in thay case we might as well be on seperate sides of the floor. You know what? Come here."

"Huh?"

He stepped a bit closer to Grey and looked around for a moment, seeing how the Korellei danced. It really wasn't much different from what he had seen at the free dances in college, like the fall dance.

Grey grabbed ahold of his hands, seeing her closely she was only about a foot and half shorter than Cedric, tall for a Korellei.

"Alright, now stand just like that."
