Chapter 2- Fate

And just when she turned her head-

Author's Pov

Everything went pitch black.

Ishika opened her eyes slowly, however, her vision was all blurry. Her head was paining as if it was under a heavy rock.

She can see everything. She feels a sudden coldness.

Everything was broken, people were lying senseless beside her. There was blood everywhere. People were whimpering in pain. The sound of the ambulance's siren was coming from a distance.

The window panes of the bus were shattered and scattered everywhere. The passenger seats were fully destroyed.

The bus met with an accident with a car coming from the wrong lane.

The rescue team, ambulances, and police were already at the location. The people around the locality gathered near the site and started helping the rescue team to take out the passengers from the destroyed bus.

Ishika tries to pull herself out through the emergency window. She realized that she has some serious wounds on her knee and her head.

Because she was sitting in the middle part of the bus, she was saved from the extreme injuries.

The police were already present and were investigating the whole incident.

She couldn't stand properly. There was chaos everywhere. The family members of the passengers were shrieking towards the bus.

She couldn't look towards her surroundings. Everything was bringing back her poisonous past. It was bringing back her traumatic experiences.

She could see, that one mother was crying holding her son in her arms. The child was severely injured but she couldn't do anything about it. On the other hand, a boy with his parents was looking for his brother.

Everything turned into a place of mourning, and loss.

Ishika looks at her side and notices one woman can't get out of her passenger's seat. Her body was technically under the window pane of the bus. She was calling someone's name.

Ishika walks towards her limping, takes her hand, and tries to pull and drag her body from inside the bus. A member of the rescue team noticed Ishika and went forward to help.

Both of them tried to pull out her body. But until her body was fully dragged out from the bus, she was already dead.

The whole surroundings were making her second by second.

She could see the tremendous suffering of people but she couldn't do anything about it just like she couldn't do when her mother died and again when her father died.

At this point, Ishika was unaware of what was waiting for her which would take shape and lead her to her Fate or maybe Destiny.

The hospital staff were carrying the dead bodies inside the ambulance. The doctors and the nurses were checking the injured ones.

A nurse took Ishika to an ambulance. But she released her hand forcefully from the nurse because she was not feeling comfortable around them. Her breathing was increasing rapidly.

The nurse ordered her politely to sit and started dressing her wounds. During the whole time, she felt suffocated. She couldn't look at her the whole time and her head was down. But all of a sudden she remembered that she has to reach the airport to meet his brother.

She thought to message Nidhi to receive Ishaan from the airport as she realized she was very late by now. But her phone was not working.

Also in the back of her mind, she was but hesitant about calling her as she didn't want her to worry.

While getting treatment from the nurse, she asked the nurse by shuttering, "How- a-all o-f this ha-ppe-ned?" Ishika's face was full read at this point. She couldn't speak properly. Her head hung low, was shivering from the fear.

The nurse informed her that a cab got into the wrong lane and directly hit the bus.

The driver got serious injuries but didn't die. But one passenger inside the cab died. But another person is alive and they are on the stretcher there. 

The nurse pointed towards the stretcher.

Ishika felt uneasy by looking at those strechers. She got out of the ambulance in between her treatment and went near the car.

She sees two bodies lying on two separate stretcher beds.

She goes near them and everything stops.
