Author's Pov

In the hospital,

"It's done." Removing his glasses, Aadarsh congratulated the patient's family.

It was a tough case for Aadarsh but he is glad it's finally done.

Looking at the family, he felt unreal as they look at him with warmth and happiness.

Giving them a warm and satisfied smile, he immediately left from there.

Aadarsh's Pov♡

Reaching my chamber, I felt sudden laziness wrapping me up like a cloak.

Removing my white coat off, I felt my before stiffed muscles now relaxed a bit.

I practically threw my body on the chair with a thump and quickly tiredness completely took over me.

But before I could close my eyes, Varun (my not so "useful" friend) barged into my chamber.

"Now whattt!!!" I mentally rolled my eyes.

He is following me like a leech since the 1st day of our medical college. It's not like I am not grateful to have him but bro, he sucks the hell out of me by his annoying mouth. 🙄 But he is still my buddy.

Even his girlfriend is fed up of him. 😂

We share each and everything but we have some "bro limits" you know.

"Aree Aadarsh, what is this? This is not "so Aadarsho wali kaam" yaar.

You sleeping and that too during your shift. Chi chi." He wiggled his eyebrows and teased.

"Aa gaya nind kharab karne." I muttered.

(He has come to disturb my sleep.)

"Ab khus phus kya kar raha hai?" the guy continued to tease.

(Now what are you talking to yourself?)

"Speak." I retorted.

"That's for another day but today I have come to inform you your mother-" Slowly my tired eyes widened.

"My mother what-" I cut him off.

"Well aunty ji was calling you- lo, this is her 10th call." Varun, showed his phone screen.

Shit!!!

"She called you as well but because you were in  O.T. that's why." He informed.

Aadarsh's eyes were now looking like a saucer.

I flinched at my sudden phone vibration. I realised my mother  calling me again and this time picked.

But all fell silent on the side.

I gulped and then said, "Hello, ma."

"Kab aa raha hain ghar?" Her voice sounded so stern.

(When are you coming?)

"I am on the way ma. Coming in minutes." I tried to manage.

"Did I teach you to lie Aadarsh?"

That's it, prepare my funeral everyone. She called me by name guys.

"Show yourself within 15 minutes." And the call is over.
