It had been a few hours since Ravenna left the Salvatore boarding house. Now in her trailer with Kenji slumped on the couch playing video games. If you were to walk in your eardrums would evaporate from the blasting 90's rock and the stench of weed would fill your nostrils and without even smoking the blunt; you'd be high.

"Have you ordered the pizza yet? I'm fucking starving." Kenji asked, eyes glued onto the T.V screen and frantically moving his fingers on the controller.

Ravenna inhaled a long hit of the blunt the duo had been passing back and forth before speaking. "I don't remember on agreeing to that. Have you got the money for it? Because I sure as hell don't."

Kenji kissed his teeth, "Man...Well when are you getting paid?" He asked, taking the blunt from her mouth and she shot him a glare.

Ravenna slowly closed her eyes and sighed. "I got fired." She finally admitted to him.

"Oh shit. When?"

This is what Ravenna feared. Having to tell him how long she had kept this from him. Kept everything from him.

"Like, a week ago." Her voice was quiet, almost wishing he didn't hear it.

He was taken aback, Kenji did nothing in that moment but stare at her in disbelief or hurt, she wasn't sure.

"And you're only telling me now?" He asked dumbfounded. They told each other practically everything, it was an abrupt and strange shift that had recently happened in their friendship. Ravenna not returning his calls, not coming for dinner with him and his mother anymore, and now she wasn't telling him anything.

"I'm sorry." She shifted closer to him, putting her hand on his shoulder. Kenji weakly smiled at her.

"It's...It's okay, Rae. I know you've been busy lately. I just wish you'd let me in on whatever it is you're doing."

"I'm not doing anything." She lied through her teeth.

Truth is, she wasn't doing anything. Not anymore at least. That's what she was convincing herself. She was done with her investigation although there's so much more she wanted to know. She finally stopped herself. Deciding enough was enough and going back to her old life.

Her ego had been shattered when Damon told her to leave, when he told her that she was wrong. She was simply going to forget about all that had happened and go back to solving boring crimes.

There was a knock at the door.

"Who's that?"

"I have no idea." Ravenna answered him, getting up and walking over to the door.

To her surprise, Damon and Jeremy stood at the other end of it.

"Hello." Damon said. Waving his fingers and smirking at her.

Ravenna resisted the urge to smile. She knew they'd come running back to her.

"What the fuck?" Kenji exclaimed from the couch, staring at Damon and Jeremy. Confusion written across his face on why the hell they'd be knocking on Ravenna's door.

Kenji walked over beside Ravenna. "Why are you guys here?"

Damon practically stared into Kenji's soul. "Go home and forget we were here." He compelled him and Kenji obeyed, mindlessly walking out of the door and over to his own trailer.

"Don't you ever compel him again." Ravenna warned him, pointing a finger at him with a mean scowl on her face.

"Ah, I did you a favour." Damon waved her off.
