Ch. 4: Designing Destruction

After a couple more days fighting the Rangers and Scrozzle's bots failing to defeat them, I approached Master Evox with a plan. "Let me take a crack at designing a bot. I have some interesting ideas, and they're guaranteed to at least last longer than Scrozzle's," I explained.

"Hey! It's not my fault, it's all Roxy and Blaze's fault!" Scrozzle tried to shift the blame. While those three argued, Evox turned his attention to me.

"I'm listening," he said.

I smirked. "See, it's all about finding the right...combination," I started. After I finished explaining my plan to him, he ordered Scrozzle to follow my instructions. After his protests were shut down by Evox's threats, he reluctantly complied. "First, we'll start by modeling the head and body after the Generation 12 Energy Bot, so it can absorb the Rangers' energy attacks but instead of immediately firing it back at them, it'll store it to use when needed, whether for a defensive attack, offense, or simply to increase its power," I told him.

"You're asking a lot..." Scrozzle replied hesitantly.

"Can it be done?" I asked firmly.

"It's not impossible."

"Then do it. If this bot doesn't work, we'll try another."

Scrozzle only sighed. "Next, it'll have the chainsaw arm of Final Attack Bot for its right arm, making it extra sharp and its left arm will be Dumbell Bot's but we'll give that part magnetic abilities so it can snatch the Rangers' weapons. Finally, its legs will be from General Shifter's Generation 16 Hyper Bot but with engines to give it a speed boost and a jump boost. Got all that?" I explained.

"Yeah. Like I said, I don't know how well it will work with all that but I see where you're going with it."

"How long will it take?"

"A little longer than normal, and we're going to need more Morph X."

"Then Roxy, Blaze and I will go get some," I said as I turned to the two. "I'll distract the Rangers. You two get the Morph X." They were about to protest but once again, Evox immediately put a stop to it. I teleported out first after I morphed. Then, like normal I masked my voice and summoned the Tronics. They started terrorizing the people of Coral Harbor and not too long after, the Rangers showed up.

"This ends today, Wolf Ranger," Red said.

"Like I haven't heard that one before. When are you guys ever gonna learn? You can't beat me. Master Evox will escape the Cyber Dimension and then no one can stop us from taking over the world!"

"Why? Why are you siding with Evox? You're a Ranger, and you're not an Avatar," Red commented.

I'm not choosing to side with him! Ugh I wish there was some way I could let Devon know it was me.

I froze for a moment. Red took notice and grabbed me. "Who are you?" he asked. I fought out of his grip and shoved him back.

"Who I am and who I was doesn't matter. Wolf Saber!"

"Beast-X Saber!"

The Red Ranger and I charged at each other with our weapons. "You don't have to do this," he said.

I know! I don't want to, Dev. Please help...I don't know if I can do this on my own...there has to be something you recognize about me. We've been close friends for over a year now. I don't want to hurt you again...

I ignored him and pushed him back. We fought with our sabers for a little before I managed to get the upper hand. I struck the Red Ranger with one of my finishing moves.
