Dream
I found myself in an unfamiliar area, but then I noticed a sign that said "Welcome to Reefside".

'Wait a sec...Reefside sounds familiar...this is the home of the Dino Thunder Rangers!'

I walked a little bit until I heard the sounds of combat. I broke into a sprint towards the commotion and to my surprise saw the Black Dino Thunder Ranger fighting the mysterious Ranger who'd been in my dreams before! I stood by and watched, unsure of what was going on and what I should do. The mystery Ranger saved me in my dreams, but Dr. Oliver was a legend, and my role model. Then, the mystery Ranger hit Dr. O with a powerful blow from what appeared to be a white shortsword. The attack was strong enough to cause him to demorph, and I could tell Dr. O was hurt badly, even from the distance I was at. Instinctively, I started running towards them but it didn't seem like I was getting any closer. The mystery Ranger raised his weapon and plunged it right into Dr. O's chest.

"No!" I exclaimed as my eyes shot open. I was breathing heavily, sweat dripping down my face. A few moments later, my mom came in hurriedly into my room.

"Are you okay, Kali?" she asked as she sat next to me. I took a few deep breaths.

"Yeah, just another nightmare," I replied.

"Must've been a pretty bad one. You're burning up," she said as she put her hand on my forehead. "Want to talk about it?" she then asked gently.

"I...I watched someone I look up to...be killed...and I-I couldn't help..." I told her without going into detail as tears filled my eyes. My mom immediately wrapped me in a hug.

"It's okay. It was just a dream. I'm sure the person is just fine. Do you know who the killer was?"

I shook my head as I hugged her back.

"See? That's typical of nightmares. It's your mind making things up."

I let go of the hug and wiped my eyes. "Yeah, thanks mom," I replied with a small smile.

"Anytime, sweetie. Now try to get some more sleep. I love you," she said as she stood.

"Love you too, mom," I replied as I lied back down. When she left, I reached under my bed and took out the Dragon Dagger.

I want to believe Mom but ... .Dr. O said the mystery Ranger is real...I really hope he's okay.

Eventually, I put the Dagger back under my bed and fell asleep. The next day, I met up with Devon at the gym and told him about my nightmare. "Hey, I'm sure Dr. O is fine. He's the strongest Ranger ever. Plus, the other Dino Rangers have his back and he's been through so much. Whoever this mystery Ranger is, he'd be smart to not mess with him," Devon said.

"That's true," I chuckled softly. "Thanks, Dev."

"Anytime, Kali. Hey, wanna come to my dad's re-election campaign with me? I can't promise it'll be fun, but I'd enjoy the company," he asked with a small smile.

"Sure, why not," I said with a small smile and a shrug. He smiled back and we went to meet up with his dad together. "Good morning, Mayor Daniels," I greeted politely.

"Oh, good morning Kali. Care to join us on my re-election campaign?" he asked with a smile.

"Yeah, but you've already got my vote," I chuckled. His dad smiled and chuckled back.

"Thanks Kali. I just hope other people will feel the same."

"I'm sure they will. You've done a lot of good for Coral Harbor. People love you," I replied encouragingly. As the day went on and Devon and I spent time together, I forgot about the dream. With everything that's been going on, I'd forgotten how much I enjoyed just simply hanging out with my best friend. After a few hours, in the middle of Mayor Daniels' speech, my communicator went off. Devon and I exchanged looks, then I stepped off to the side.
