3RD PERSON'S POV:
Elena talks to Caroline on the phone. The scene alternates between Elena at the Salvatore boarding house and Caroline at Whitmore college.
"Please tell me I wasn't out of my mind leaving Damon in charge of Vampire Amnesia 101." Elena Said.
"What did he say exactly?"
"One text - "So far, so good." Which, in Damon speak..." Elena began.
"Means that they probably devoured a troop of Girls Scouts by now."
"Caroline!"
"I'm kidding...kind of. Although it's not uncommon for patients with retrograde amnesia or other traumatic brain injuries to turn volatile." Caroline said.
" Okay, Dr. Forbes. Since when do you know so much about amnesia?" Elena asked her friend as Caroline smirked.
'It's possible I studied up on my chem, biochem, applied microbio, molecular bio, and Grey's Anatomy-the real one and the television show." She explained.
'You did all that for Stefan?"
"I did it for Xavier."
"You did it for Xavier?" Elena asked her.
"Of course I did. I am also trying to impress Dr. Maxfield. I figured if I could get closer to him, i.e. into his biology class, maybe I could figure out why he covered up our roommate's murder by vampire, and it's also possible that I have a study buddy." Caroline said.
Caroline enters Dr. Maxfield's lab. Inside there are Dr. Maxfield and Xavier.
"Hi, Dr. Maxfield. Are you ready to go study, Xav?" She asked.
"Xavier? What about Dr. Maxfield's incredibly hot, funny, and miraculously single lab assistant?" Elena asked.
"Xavier is his new favorite student and he is all that" Caroline whispered making Elena smile. "I am dragging him to our hometown graveyard bell-ringing ceremony."
"As in creepy first date?"
"As in a study hangout with my best friend. While I am there, I might as well ring a bell for Tyler and me considering our relationship is on its death bed." She explained.
"See you Monday, Doc." Xavier said.
"Stay out of trouble."
"Will I see you there? You could bring Stefan. I mean, it is ironically called "Remembrance Day"."Caroline said.
"I hope so, I really do. It just depends on how Stefan's handling the whole download of his dark and stormy past.' Elena said.
Caroline looks at Xavier. "Hi" she then is ready to hangout up. "All right. Well, I'll talk to you later, Elena." She hang. Xavier let out his hand for her to take it, which she did and they left.

People are sitting around, picnic style, ringing bells for the dead and drinking alcohol. Some put fresh flowers on graves. Caroline is lying on a blanket, Xavier is sitting on a chair with a textbook..
"Togavirus. Go."
'Togavirus causes congenital rubella, whatever that is." Caroline said.
"Okay, hot shot. Red Queen Theory." He said.
"A theory often used to explain the contradictory relationship between predator and prey." She said
"And why does the supposedly weaker species always stay one step ahead?" He asked.
"Fear of extinction" She sits up and looks at him "The rabbit is faster than the fox because the fox is chasing its dinner. The rabbit's running for its life."
"Damn. If Maxfield doesn't let you in, you can have my spot." He said and she chuckles. "How did you learn all that so quickly?" He asked.
"Well, whenever anyone tells me I can't do something, I prove them wrong." Caroline said and he smiled.
"That's my girl." He said feeling proud as they high-fived. "How is Tyler?"
"I don't know where he is."
A bell rings.
"Wait, is that Rebekah?" Xavier asked looking behind her and her face fell looking behind but there was no one. He laughed. "You should have see your face."
She laughs and pushes him. He grabs her arm and they both fell on the ground. They laugh while Caroline is lying on him. They stop laughing and stare at each others when she makes first move and kisses him. He kisses back and then pulls away gently.
"Uh, sorry." She said and they sit down.
"Aplastic anemia. Go." He said ignoring her gaze on him.
"Aplastic anemia..."
One thing they didn't know was that Bonnie saw everything. She was just behind them when everything happened. She felt betrayal. Caroline kissed her ex-boyfriend.
