Chapter 3

We arrived somewhere and Poyo dragged me out and pushed me towards a very big house. In there I saw many girls. They seemed to be here unwillingly and then I remembered with who I had to deal with. We met an older woman. Bienvenido a casa Rosita. You're very beautiful. Come on he's waiting." I was forced to follow. Who is waiting? What am I doing here? Rosita was telling me the story of the villa but I wasn't really listening. Poyo suddenly grabbed my arm and pushed me in a room. There I saw him. The green eyed dude. Poyo went to him and saod something. Before he went outside he called his name to make him focus. Lino. He walked behind the chair I was sitting amd started to run his hand through my hair and grabbed my purse. I wanted to punch him so bad but I would be dead the next second. He took out my passport and phone. "Elena Bandera." He started. " What's your deal? It's obvious that you're a Gringa, chula." Nice he has amnesia. I literally told him last night. " I'm half Greek remember? I grew up here though. But the last 6 years I lived in Los Angeles." I said unfazed. I was not scared of none of them. I know how this goes.He looked at my phone.   
" Hija de puta. Nice name for a friend. Who is she." He said grinning. " Her name is Suzu." " Well i can help you find your friend. But you have to do something for me too." I didn't think it twice. " Deal." " Wow that's a first." He said surprised. Poyo then came in the room. " We are ready" he said. "Chula get up. We are starting now."

He made me get to a red car and he with some of his men went to two SUVs. One in front of me and one on the back. he came up to my rolled down window and gave me an old-ass phone. " Keep it on and follow my instructions." Was all he said and left. Soon enough we started driving. The first instruction was to run a red light. I did that without hesitation. It was not the first time I did that. " Nice job chula. Turn right amd park the car real close to the curb. Come find us on the hill. And so I did. We drove a little further. We got out of the SUV. " Tucán the remote! Look chula." He said while he was handed a remote. " Dos! Uno!" And boom. The car I was in exploded. And with it the building right next to it. The all started cheering. But I was shocked. There were people in the building. And I was in the car woth a bomb. Lino came up to me and grabbed my face. I looked at him shocked from what had jsut happened. "Mira mira. Looks like someone doesn't want no barbeque." And they all started laughing. He looked back to me and suddenly got angry. Not at me. At them. He went and took the phone they were taking selfies with. "Policía!!" Poyo yelled and everyone started running to the cars. Lino grabbed me and pressed me against the car " What were you doing last night at the Miillennium ah?" He asked firmly. " We went to talk with Rafael Saucedo about the Miss Baja contest." I said looking at his green eyes. Poyo go in and Lino pushed me in after him and we drove off.

After a while I found myself to be in a familiar place. The place Suzu signed up for Miss Baja. "What are we doing here?" I asked looking at Lino. "You said you wanted to be in the contest. So now you're in the contest." He said as it was the most obvious thing. "No I didn't say anything about that. I just want to find Suzu. Not get into some girly girl contest." I said snapping at him. Now some would think that this 'girly girl contest' think was a pick me move. But my life was never about being pretty and impressing. It was always about surviving. I didn't have time for anything except that. "Come on Chula! It's gonna be fun. Plus, I need you in there. Vamos, get out." And as soon as he said that, Poyo opened the door, grabbed my arm and dragged me out. "Hey! Don't fucking grab her like that! Let go of her arm cabrón." Lino shouted at Poyo and he immediately let me go.

We went inside amd signed me up. I asked the woman who was working there if she had seen Suzu but the answer was negative. I then went to the bathroom, locking the door before Poyo could get in. "Open the door!" I heard him shout. " Can't I just have a moment to go to the bathroom in privacy?! Dios mío." The truth was that I needed some time to myself. I splashed some water on my face and looked at the mirror in front of me. Then I saw it. An open window. I could get out of here and Poyo wouldn't be able to do shit about it. I started climbing the wall and got out. I didn't care about Poyo's yelling. I had to get out of here and find Suzu.

I started running but I had the exact same feeling as yesterday morning with Chava. But this time it was ten times worse. It was like my body was telling me that I was in danger. Before I could turn around someone grabbed me from my neck and another dude put a cloth in my mouth and nose qhich was probably dragged. But before I passed out I saw the two men's faces and my worse nightmare came true. They had found me.
