A woman, around her mid 30's came walking down a stairway. She had a purse over her shoulder and one luggage bag in her other hand. As soon as she made it down the stairs she walked off towards the front door. There was a man about the same age to be seen standing by the open door, checking his watch. He looked up as soon as he felt the presence of her approaching. He seemed to be a bit annoyed due to them being a bit late to where they were supposed to be heading to. "Are you sure you have everything?" he questioned. She responded with, "maybe, just maybe if you hadn't read the flight departing time wrong, I would be sure that I had everything." She then walked out the door as he followed irritated, closing the door behind them. Police sirens could be heard in the background, but they paid no attention to that, thinking it wasn't anything to worry about.

They walked out over to the taxi that had been waiting for them. Their 17-year-old son, Steve, was loading the last bag into the back of the taxi. He slammed the trunk closed and approached them. His dad gave a nod as a goodbye and continued walking past. While his mom came up and gave a quick hug. She then stepped back, still holding his arms and said, "it's only three days and then we'll be back, okay honey?" He gave a slight nod that showed he was pretty unbothered by their leave. "Christina lives only a few blocks down so if anything were to happen, you go there, okay?", she said in a polite tone and gave a small smile. She then let go, walked around him and over to the taxi. Steve looked back at them quickly before turning back towards the house. As he walked away, his parents could be seen getting into the taxi. Once he got to the front porch, the taxi had already sped off down the road. He rushed into the living room and grabbed the house phone immediately. He dialed in a number and waited for someone to answer.

A guy who was around 17 years old was lying down on his bed, facing the ceiling, trying to get sleep. "Brad." his uncle shouted from the living room. He opened his eyes slowly and sighed in annoyance before just sitting upright on his bed and yelled, "what." in response.

He had dark, almost black hair and it was pushed back and all. He seemed decently tall even if he wasn't standing up yet.

It didn't take long to get a response as his uncle was heard saying, "someone's on the phone asking for you". So, he got up from the bed, tiredly, and went over to the door. He came walking down the hallway and saw his uncle holding out the phone for him lazily. Once he got there, he took it from him, and his uncle returned back to the small living room of the trailer home.

He held the phone up to his ear and said, "who's this." in a flat tone. "Yo, Brad, check it out." Kevin, who was the person on the other end said, "Steve's parents just left town for a few couple days." There was no answer in response, and he seemed confused. The other person on the line was waiting for him to finish his sentence. "he's throwing a party Saturday night.", he said as a hint.

Without hesitation he said, "Steve won't wanna see me set a foot in that house, you know that". Kevin brushed this off and said, "What's he gonna do? I'll tell Christina so that if that idiot tries anything, she won't let him". At this Brad seemed a little hesitant but caved and replied with, "alright, I'll be there, just uh, what time." in a casual tone.

Back in the girl's room, which was now completely dark, besides for the little bits of moonlight that illuminated through the curtains. It has been almost two hours since that night's incident. Her dad had told her that her mom knew about it and is getting home as soon as she can since she was away modeling for magazines. Serena and Colette, Christina's twin sisters who were only 7, were all paranoid after getting told what had happened tonight. Colette immediately started crying when they were told, and Serena thinks the intruder's still hiding somewhere around the house.

Christina wasn't able to sleep at all. Not just because of her sisters crying all night but because she was scared too. She sat upright on her bed and reached over to the nightstand. She was just about to reach for the glass of water that was placed on it when she heard a small knock at the window.
